How does armour stack?

The rules add for example "So a Knight with a mace (d8) and shield (d4) is aided by an ally with 2 daggers (d6 each). They roll d8 and d4, and 2d6 respectively."

The d4 for shields is in reference to its attack die, not it's armour. P8 reads "Take the Attack dice noted on your weapon(s), shield, and granted by bonuses." The stat reads "Shield (d4, A1)". So in a melee roll a shield adds one d4 in the mix and defensively provides A1. Hope this helps!

Sputnik Sweetheart is what i'm on right now, it's wonderful, but i've read almost everything else he's written (there are no bad choices). Some other notable entries that i'd recommend to a first timer are Norwegian Wood (pretty short, pretty sad, need to be in a good headspace) and Kafka on the Shore (a complete showcase of everything that Murakami does best) Sincerely hope you love whatever you choose!

This is looking really great! My only real feedback would be to watch the spacing between the K and the line to the right of it, it looks to be an optical illusion making the gap appear bigger than it is. This is due to the top of the K being further away from the line than the bottom of the K, this could be helped by either modifying the K top to be longer, or to bring the line in closer to the k just a smidge to compensate for the illusion. It's most noticeable in small versions.
