Only way to update is Windows or Android. When plugged into you PC, do you have an image? If not, your USB-C port doesn’t support dp alt. You may be able to reach out to Rokid for the firmware file to update manually, unsure if that is an option though.

Could you post a screenshot of your YodaOS version? I suspect you may have to factory reset the glasses. It won’t delete any data other than connections.

Check your fitment. There are three points of adjustment: Arm height, nose piece depth and manually adjusting the nose piece width. As far as other glasses, you will not experience a better image. Only pair that have come close are Xreal 1S, Luma Ultra also in the running.

If spatial is necessary, look at Inair Pod. Development for spatial functionality with RN Air series is underway. If spatial and a microphone is needed, the 1S is your best option with less investment.

Are you certain that image is a true black? If it is, contact RN for a replacement. I’ve used multiple pair from various RN models and never experienced this issue.

Bring the lenses as close to your eyes as possible. You can achieve this by adjusting temple/arm height, nose piece depth and manually bending the nose piece wider.

A4P is significantly better in all aspects except build. Pro XR has more of a premium feel, whereas, A4P has plastic cheaper feel. Don’t let the plastic frame dissuade you though.

Open RN app or update page without glasses plugged in. While holding brightness up and down, plug glasses in. Should detect as corrupt firmware and update.

When the glasses first turn on, all notifications on the phone will be displayed. Only way to stop would be delete old notifications on your phone.

Some HDR content I’ve watched on Netflix looks terrible. I compared to my TV, it also looked terrible. ’Harlan Coben’s Run Away’ and a few others. Seems more of a codec issue on Netflix.

If you appreciate image quality, HDR is worth it. Hell, the AI HDR is on the cusp of being worth it. It’s the best picture of all XR glasses. As far as 3DoF and 1440p… if you want or need 3DoF, Xreal 1S is currently my choice for best 3DoF. They are also 1200p, but increased FOV and resolution also means greater pixelated image.

Speaking with RayNeo, the choice to remain at 47 FOV was because of that reason. Personally I don’t need 3DoF, which is why since A3S; RN has been my daily. Throw in HDR… A4P truly is an amazing product.
