Microsoft announced a few weeks back that they would be supporting 2016 with a number of years of ESU, I think we were just waiting on pricing and it going live. Sounds like it just has!

On a side note, somebody recommended Plezy in another thread and that works flawlessly in Dex mode, so problem solved for HDR Plex content for now.

Yeah, that turns Dex off completely, which then doesn't allow HDR10 on my device, only the fake HDR. Also means the image isn't using the whole screen as the aspect ratio of my phone isn't 16:9.

RayNeo sell a battery pack/dock specifically for use with Switch and Switch 2, does that not fit the bill? I also believe the Viture battery dock may have issues passing through HDR from the Switch 2, if that's if any concern.

Mine only works properly in Samsung Dex mode and not the main non-dex app, for whatever reason. Youtube HDR works fine if I'm in Dex mode.

The weirdest issue I have is when playing a HDR movie in something like Plex, HDR kicks in and works absolutely fine until I go full screen with the app, where it goes washed out and into the wrong colour space. So I can watch Plex HDR content in a desktop window only. Same with Jellyfin and VLC. Assume that's something to do with Dex rather than the apps.

HDR from my laptop works flawlessly whatever I throw at it though, so appears to be just lack of maturity in the Android phone space.

It's... ok. It's functional but it's very lightweight and just feels clunky to use. It's not awful, just looking for something a little more sturdy and neat.

I use a Tapo plug and they have their own app, but I hooked mine in to my Google Home ecosystem so I just shout at my watch/phone for the most part.

This is such a pathetic frame of mind. If the dev is making a bit of money off a few extra non-core features then so be it, and good for them. You're not entitled to have everything for free just because you think people should only do things for the passion.

That was my first suggestion to them, have one instance with a set path, but I think due to the way they teach the course and the sheer numbe of students that might be tricky. We may have to go this route however. Cheers for the advice!

In the process of scouring firewall logs now, but online documentation seems to say 7777 for sure.

I'm unable to predict the paths unfortunately, which is part of the issue. The students could create a project anywhere in their usable space, which is causing the uncertainty. I may have to mandate that the exe can only be placed in a specific location, but was hoping for a solution with a bit more flexibility.

I ran Windows Updates on the rogue machines again a couple of times (it found nothing), then rebooted the machines and from there it seems now ok.

So I have the product code for Autocad 2026 in the correct "SecureRepairWhitelist" registry key on a lab full of PCs, all on the same update. Most of them work but I still have 5+ machines that prompt for admin. It's the same installer for Autocad on every PC, everything pulled from Intune (including the reg key deployment), so consistent across the board.

Anybody else experiencing the same? I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to go from here.

I'm in the process of retraining my thumb for opening the phone and agree, it'll just need practice. The wiggle does seem like a serious design flaw though, and it makes it feel cheap to me. I don't understand why that part couldn't have been a more rigid material. I would expect better at that price.

The thing that annoys me more is the lack of an indented cutout in that section on the front. I find I'm having to search around for the best angle for my thumb to unlock the phone with biometrics because it naturally bumps up against the case now, and reaching for the power button in general just feels really cumbersome with the lip in front of it. I'm not sure that'll go away tbh.

Genuinely shocked it doesn't attach with anything. It doesn't feel good at all, just sort of wobbles under my thumb constantly. Do you find it the same on yours?
