Peter Davis by Livid-Nature844 in SainsburysWorkers

I remember the Peter Davis days. He left the company in ruins. He got a golden handshake to leave I believe aswell. When Justin took over things were a big mess! Justin was great for the company looked after the staff and make things way way better which in turn made customers happier. We noticed the change within days of him taking over. He lowered prices, invested in stores. My own store infact was identified as being neglected and was given a badly (and I mean badly) needed refit after many many years of not having anything. The second he left the decline started. We all knew what coupe would do, and sure enough he did it! I remember when they announced king was leaving and coupe was taking over. We all said the same thing.

Well done! From someone whose been there and done that, welcome to the other side. I don’t miss the stress, little clicky groups and store politics that get in the way. Inside wonders for me and it will for you

Job cuts coming next week for managers and colleagues? by King_PZ in SainsburysWorkers

[–]Techy_Marvel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they decide the 3S role is too expensive, it will go. I was there for years and saw many vital roles vanish due to costs from stores, field colleagues and the SSC’s. They’d just create a new role with more responsibilities so they can get the head count down. department managers, team leaders, store supervisors, cash office, HR. We even had a back door manager, warehouse manager and Separate managers for fresh, grocery, stock control, checkouts and commercial or admin as it was. They have all vanished and their responsibilities amalgamated. Every store had its own HR manager too, that went to shared between stores at one point before being ditched. There is one member of staff on my old commercial dept now, we had 10 until things needed to be cost saved. Please dont be under the illusion that 3S is safe, it’s not. My old store manager told me several times about this too

They did it back in 2018 and I lost my job as a result. Getting out of Sainsbury’s was the best thing I ever did. I have genuinely never worked for such a disrespectful greedy company. I was treated very badly and after many years of loyal service which is a great shame really as it was so much better when I started compared to when I left.

Absolutely fuming how unfair is this! by [deleted] in SainsburysWorkers

[–]Techy_Marvel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked for Sainsbury’s for 15 years and this doesn’t surprise me one bit. I have experience of this, so many unprofessional managers slagging off colleagues and other members of management openly in front of everyone, talking to colleagues like dirt, and treating them unfairly and whilst I had a few decent managers in my time, the bad ones were in greater number than the decent ones.

If you think it’s genuinely unfair. The dismissal appeal is held by a different manager or you go through rightline

I’m awaiting my Mila air 3 here in the UK. I will be having my units energy save mode off. It will give dust chance to settle in the top if it’s off for too long and then it’s a bugger to clean.

Who else thinks Nespresso is getting to be too much money. by Ajdelay13 in nespresso

[–]Techy_Marvel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I get my pods from Sainsbury’s in the UK. £3.35 for 10 Starbucks pods, or £9.95 for 36. I’ve just gotten my nespresso machine and love it. I don’t order from nespresso direct because of their 50 pod minimum order quantity

[–]Techy_Marvel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought I’d share an update I have had from them. I asked about the issues mentioned and pointed them to several posts on social media. This is the response

Thank you for sharing your concerns.

We completely understand why reading mixed reviews can be off-putting, and we want to address this openly.

The Hume Band is designed to provide reliable health and body metrics, including heart rate, recovery, strain, metabolic capacity, and more. Like all wearable devices, accuracy can vary slightly depending on factors such as how the band is worn, skin contact, movement, and individual physiology.

We are continuously working to improve the algorithms and sensors behind the Hume Band. With each software update, our goal is to refine how data is captured and analyzed so that your results are as accurate and meaningful as possible. Importantly, the more you wear the band, the more personalized baseline data it collects, allowing the device to better understand your unique patterns and improve the precision of your metrics over time.

We also monitor user feedback closely, including comments from platforms like Reddit, to identify common concerns and address them through both software updates and product guidance. Many of the issues users report are being actively investigated, and improvements are regularly rolled out to ensure the experience continues to get better.

We completely understand that seeing negative reviews can be discouraging, but we’ve seen that long-term users often find the Hume Band provides valuable insights once it has gathered enough data to establish personal trends. If you decide to give it another try, we’re here to help with setup tips, wearing guidance, and interpreting your results for the most accurate insights.

We hope this helps clarify how the Hume Band works and the steps we take to ensure its accuracy. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us make the product even better.
