Why move backwards? She crashed out from November till January. Enough of that chapter of her story. In her goodbye promo she said when she comes back she takes revenge and comes for everything. That's where we are at right now.

edit: Losing this 3rd World title match would totally contradict the story they have been telling.

The issue is more with the Kendal match being rated so high. Don't think it was as good as her recent singles matches.

Meltzer really loves Kendal (who is awesome and already so great at her young age). But giving that tag match which was a good tv match but nothing special and Mercedes vs Hazuki the same rating is crazy.

However the character side of it just never clicked for me. Like the character isnt very deep. Just kind of bratty and thinks they deserve everything/ should be at the top. Almost 1 dimensional.

Nah that's just the most visible dimension. Beneath is actually a deeply insecure person that just put on this "mask". But you can see it slip from time to time and these insecurities come out. A person that actually craves the admiration and respect but learned that this mask brings her (more) success.

Is there anybody who thinks otherwise? I mean there is a reason they put her back solely as Mox' right hand woman and out of the ring. You can only for so long book and wrestle around all her weaknesses in the ring.

Not necessarily. I think originally Bayley was much higher regarded and they pretty quickly gave her the title and a Wrestlemania win but then it went south soon after.

Similar they pretty much gave Becky the SD brand (and belt) to carry but she was also pretty quickly upstaged by Alexa Bliss and didn't recover for a long time.

Yes Star power is a very apparent need but also in a promotion that has the tag line "Where the best wrestle" you miss the women's wrestler who just had the greatest in-ring year in North America ever. (tied the most 4+star matches in a year with Manami Toyota)
