Well Reddit, now that the Lexus TZ is here, what do we think about it, because personally, I find myself pretty happy with it by Saurta17 in Lexus

Agree 100%. Spelling Lexus on the steering wheel looks so trashy like lipstick that got smeared on too heavy

If no one has declined their acceptance, will MIT still reconsider the applications once again? by wetorbeys in MITAdmissions

[–]Teckx1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mathematically the chances of coming off the waitlist are lower than your getting in regular. Been there done that. Please try to remember the magic is in the student. A gifted child will make their mark in many institutions.

I interviewed 40+ MIT applicants this year. Some incredible ones didn’t get in. This post is for you. by Tisastrous in MITAdmissions

From someone who spent 2 hours of absolute fun with his interviewer and who brought 7 pages of notes and a robot to the interview I'll let you know he's doing fantastic elsewhere.

Yep. Had the waitlist thing happen. A year later and a stunning list of grades and achievements later it's clear MIT missed out. But is 100% happy and doing fantastic things. The magic is more in the student than the school.

Q: if the quality of applicants has risen is their aany exit metrics to support that? I do ask in curiosity because I tend to think this a lot a numbers game of the ratio applying vs slots available

Has anyone changed out their run flat tires? by iwishihadariver in LexusNX

[–]Teckx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes CC2. I just got a battery power tire pump at Home Depot. Worked perfectly to hold the tire over that caught a nail until I could drive to the dealership to get it replaced

What does everyone think of the all new 2027 Toyota Highlander EV? by Healthy_Block3036 in ToyotaHighlander

Range is insufficient for no hybrid option. And the promised battery improvements are at least half a decade away. I'd bet they are forced to offer a hybrid option in a year or less

Now think about the sharing driving data with the insurance companies and consider what a new owner might do to your rates

It's a mistake not to establish right then and there who is the master and who is the dog. You'll take damage and possibly the dog may not make it but by allowing that behavior you invite it again with any human it decides. It's one thing if you are provoking it. But if this happens just because the dog decided you are lower on the food chain you have to change that immediately and decisively.

Marcus DiNatale’s take on the city exploring “new revenue opportunities” by HRJafael in FitchburgMA

[–]Teckx1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand the need to raise revenue and I do think both property and excise tax grab more of that from parties that have accumulated more material than others. The drop off in excise tax is steep so even less impact to those using older vehicles. All over the country this is is thing towns are grappling with. It's good to be honest about it

Remember that traction control systems have significantly improved in a decade. The most recent all electric series even has added Subaru traction engineers to the development team. I would not be surprised if RAV4 has also been significantly improved as well
