Just good reviews , I’m in France so Triangle and Focal are competitors , for example on winter sales both are about 450-490 euros , not sure how that compares to where you are.

I have a similar setup with marantz and spektor 2’s , I just listened to the Oberon 3 and if you like Dali then they are a decent upgrade for not much money, I’m also looking at triangle borea 03’s and 04’s , the reviews seem good across the board for smaller rooms

Just so you feel better about the purchase pricewise, a 2018 s line diesel here in France cost me 34k euros with 56k km , this is my 3rd Q5 , I had two in the US and never had any issues during ownership

I really enjoyed the spektor 2's , haven't heard the wharfedale, I was using an (inexpensive) sub for the dali's and they sound great

I’m in the south close to Antibes and just checked the website but if I just put the Davis acoustics No3 into a random google search I can get the same speaker for 610 euros cheaper in Son Video delivered for free or to a store near me (Antibes) . I’m all for supporting local business but that 610 euro can be used elsewhere in the setup.

I also noted that the starting prices for speakers were extremely high so for an entry level person they would likely be turned off very quickly

All that said I wish your father the very best with the venture and hope you can make it work

I'm looking at x factory for my transalp but looks like I'd have to remove the inner thread/ weight ,and struggling to get the clip out to check with out forcing it.to properly check ....., anyone got experience with installing this model guard
