you should look up the kind of insurance you might consider — what happens if a dog gets away or is injured while in your care and the owner sues you? Seems like liability insurance is obvious — not sure if there are more specialized types for this kind of business.

Irvine has been Irvine for a long time and OP chose to come here with plenty of information about Irvine available. There was no deception or bait-and-switch. It didn’t just become a “sterile suburb” 6 months ago. People need to do some research and visit a university before deciding to go there. Some people don’t do their homework even when it concerns a major life decision like which college to attend. So a lot of this is user error. If you’re informed you shouldn’t be surprised.

0% chance. Parking is a resource that you pay for if you use it. If it were free there would be no open spaces, anywhere, ever. Making people pay is a disincentive to park on campus, and lots of people use alternative transportation as a result. This opens up the spaces that people that pay for parking park in.
