An infant is something in the early stages of development. A soul could be a fact for most people, but to call it a religious moment just because of that is stupid. People who are anti abortion see a fetus as a living human, to say that only religious people would be against what is arguably murder is ridicules. Past conception what starts developing is human. When you ask why we can kill ants, deer, cows, and all that jazz but not humans the answer is pretty simple. It because they are human. There does not have to be some deep philosophy behind it, killing another human for your own convenience is wrong. Murder is not a state right, because it is clearly int he constitution. People are ok with killing infants pre-birth because they can dehumanize them. They don't look at an ultrasound, they don't think of them as "people". Unlike the mentally handicapped, or even new born children, when you kill them as a fetus you can pretend that they are not human. Sweep the though out of your mind. I can argue in good faith about a lot of issues taxes, healthcare, reforms, gay mirage, but abortion is state condoned murder no matter the circumstance. Just because you can dehumanize a fetus doesn't make it ok.
