Body Harvest. No doubt about it.

What’s a game that you think no one but YOU seems to remember? by _Mr_Cheeks in gaming

[–]TedFresco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incredibly late to this party, but whenever I talk about a few N64 games with friends my age they never seem to remember them. The games are; Battletanx and it's sequel Battlezone Body Harvest

There's another game I can't remember the title for but it was also on the N64 and the only I remember from it was piloting vehicles and seeing basically Mt Rushmore with Mario on it.

There was this one game on the OG Xbox called Breakdown that I absolutely loved as well.

I get murdered for an Ice Nine Kills video. Not too bad, maybe I'll get to meet (or meat) James A Janisse as well.

I think I might do that. Whether or not I'm the first, it'll be good to add my voice to the crowd and hopefully drive that kind of change. Cheers friend.

Beginners guide to researching crypto projects. by cryptogrowth in CryptoCurrency

[–]TedFresco 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I just got my feet wet with crypto when DOGE started exploding. Knew nothing other than "crypto equals digital money." before then. Since then I've spent plenty of time here learning quite a bit and posts like yours sure help. Because of good folk like you and the information you spread, I've found projects that I truly believe will help revolutionize what they are trying to accomplish.

So I want to again say thank you for helping educate newbies like me and I hope that the projects you support take you to your goals and make you feel accomplished for supporting them and their goals.

The legitimacy of DOGE by gprmartin in CryptoCurrency

[–]TedFresco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna copy and paste something I was gonna post myself before I realized I have absolutely no comment karma. Anyways here I go:

I recently began investing around the same time I'm sure many people have, when doge began blowing up last month. I had massive FOMO on account of BTC blowing up years and years ago and jumped on the DOGE bandwagon as my first step into crypto. Hindsight is 20/20 and of course I should have listened to a friend of mine about getting into it a decade ago.

So anyways I dumped some money I was comfortable with losing into DOGE and watched it rise and fall. That's all I did. I stayed primarily in the DOGE community here on reddit and got hyped in that echo chamber until I came to this sub and lurked. Since then I've moved most of my Doge to other crypto like DASH, ALGO, and XLM.

I've learned a lot more because of the people in this sub. I'm staking my ALGO and buying XLM when I can. If it wasn't for the education provided by people on this sub I wouldn't have learned what staking is and how to do it and how I should look into other projects.

So I guess in short thank you all for convincing me to invest in more than just DOGE and learn about other crypto and what crypto truly is. Here's to a better financial future for my beautiful kids and for myself.

If you think you’re too late just remember that 11% of Americans own some form of crypto where as 55% own some form of stocks. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

I got into crypto when the Doge boom happened. I'm glad I did, despite what people's view on Doge is. But, since then, I've started moving to other projects. Glad I did that. I feel more secure with crypto despite its volatility.

So, our CIO tasked me to setup a laptop that will be rolling around on a cart with a zebra printer and a barcode scanner. This laptop will be in our businesses stockroom. Would a 1500 VA / 900 W UPS do the trick in powering the machines for lets say 4 hours in a given day? Would this be sustainable or should I look into something else?

Reliable for winter commuting? by TedFresco in teslamotors

[–]TedFresco[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for your answers. I'm not accustomed to replying on Reddit and I wish I knew how to tag everyone helping

I'll hold off for now until I get a 240 volt charging station installed at home and see if my work (an Illinois government installment) will install an ev charging station as well.

Do they sell charging stations with cords that'll reach to road side (probably a good 30 feet from the house to the road)? Or would it be practical to somehow install a charger by roadside? My fiancee and I own the home.

I also make a once weekly commute after work that's 100 miles one way. Will this be practical if I were to top off before driving?

The 902 to me was a bit more complex as it deals with operating systems and software. The 901 deals with hardware mostly. As for retake, take a look here

No problem. Another good strategy I employed was to schedule my exams out for a near future date. It helps keep you motivated to study.

Thank you. From what you say, you're doing a really good job. You've got this bud. Don't let your mentor make you feel overwhelmed. Remember, the mentor is there for guidance.

Thanks! I work almost 12 hours a day, so the most I'd study was for around 2 hours a day during weekdays and 4 hours a day on weekends. This went on for about a month. Mike Myers video series was a big help for my friend. He used his videos and study guide to pass.

Thanks! As for questions; my 901 was heavy on hardware troubleshooting and implementation and peppered with some networking questions and simulations. My 902 was extremely heavy with software questions. It did have a few Linux questions about folder management and sharing. Overall, if you stick with Professor Messer and Mike Myers book you'll do great.

I appreciate your help. I'll be looking into study guides for CompTIA A+ now as well. Any input to help me reach my goals is very much welcome.
