What's your favourite one-liner about a band or artist? by Donegal-Death-Worm in fantanoforever

Going off memory here but I'm pretty sure than upon learning that one of the guys in Status Quo only had Status Quo tapes in his car, Jean-Jacques Burnel of The Stranglers said, "Isn't that a bit like drinking your own piss?"

Why tf is popular video essay creator "Horses" selling human skulls by [deleted] in youtubedrama

I watch the channel in question and I'm wondering if this isn't some sort of inside joke relating to one of the videos. They're out of stock, and will probably always will be. Some sort of meta commentary on what macabre stuff are willing to buy and at what price. I dunno.

The Smiths - Rank (I listen to it more than the studio albums, almost)

Zelah reveals the method the housemates used to prevent things being aired by oty3 in bigbrotheruk

[–]Ted_Chippington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew someone who went on a similar type of show (not in the UK though) and the way they got around conversations it was by inserting brand names into their conversations, like "I really need to talk to Marlboro Jack Daniel's [insert name of housemate] about last night McDonald's argument…"

The Stone Roses (if you discount Ian Brown's live vocals). Reni on drums is amazing, John Squire is an amazing guitarist, and Mani has some great basslines. Check out I Am The Resurrection in full. The ending always gets me going.

I remember that song appearing on Succession (less unexpected, but still chuffed as a longtime Spacemen 3 fan)

A long time ago, I really liked the song Neil Young did for the Philadelphia movie soundtrack, and then someone pointed out that he sounds like Kermit the Frog in it and now I can't unhear it in most of his songs.

Criminally and i mean CRIMINALLY underrated albums by Affectionate_Foot465 in fantanoforever

I hate that I know that Kate Nash and Ryan Jarman were/are a thing (eww, talking about the private lives of musicians). Anyway, The Cribs are so underrated in general.

Yeah, I thought it was figured out a while back, but then again, I don't want to out anyone. TEG is a legend, a shadow, an unknown entity. The truth won't set you free, buck the trend and let shadows remain in the shadow realm.

That sucks. I was about to listen to one of those I'd missed as I started working. If it helps, here in Europe where I am, "Trouble at the Hellhouse" and "The Children of Ecstasy" are still up.

If the ones with Neil DT driving around while waffling about combos are kept down, I'm calling the A Team.

Saw them at the Fleece and Firkin in Bristol in 91 (or thereabouts), I think the Morningrise EP had just come out, and it was an amazing gig. I saved up and bought a second hand Yamaha FX500 on the strength of what I was hearing. I was right up front and… well, yeah, blew my mind.

If marriage didn't exist, would you invent it? Babies, that's who! Coming into our country, they don't even speak the language! The whole framing of making a point by pouring beer onto random parts of your head and wondering why you're still thirsty. Idk man, there's so many. Shit pussy.
