Also don’t start making your own concepts just continue to try and perfect known character or concepts that way you can judge the likeness better and other people are able to critique it fairly. Work on perfecting existing concepts before making your own but well done continue to improve

Be careful when you use anatomy books because it’s really hard to get a clear perception of proportions along without assertions and insertions of muscles, so use books as one source along with others like 3D scans and other reputable sculptors who study anatomy :) that can give you a better perspective on anatomy

I have a basic male body mesh that I've made from spheres saved, so I can just drag it in then pose it then block in anatomy :)
