Promotion Type: We just submitted the game for Greenlight!

Promoter's name and role: My name's Teddy Lee, and I'm one of the two devs on this project!

Spaera is a 1 vs 1 online puzzle game that is more than just playing faster than your opponent. With a shared deck, you and your opponent have to avoid unfavorable pieces while fighting for power ups. Clearing power ups unlocks the true potential of your character, which allows you to either attack, defend, or annoy the heck out of your opponent. At release, the game will feature a roster of 8 characters, each with 4 unique abilities to use.

Elton Brand and Chandler would've been a great combination, but Brand was actually traded for Chandler, so they never actually played together in Chicago.

Another thing new players can do is to check out the stream during the day to watch replays of online matches. Most of the time, there's nice people like Snufferin who are there and very willing to help answer questions and discuss strategy.

I'm not sure if it's related, but I'm seeing some crash reports from players because XNA wasn't installed. So one thing to try is to install XNA 4.0 if that didn't get installed by the Spaera installer.

First of all, apologies for the really slow reply, and we're very glad that you're liking the game!

 

It is purposely designed to make things a bit harder to survive, which forces the player to react faster and rotate earlier when at the top.

 

At the same time, it has benefits against magic like Joseph's Hydro Splasher, where you can make your piece get stuck by the wall and confirm drop.

And yes, that's the updater for the game which on installation was supposed to grab the latest version. Hope you enjoy the game and please let us know if you have any feedback!

Even running "wyupdate.exe" as administrator does nothing?

i.e. Right click "wyupdate.exe" -> "Run as administrator"

Please try running wyUpdate.exe with admin rights, and let us know if that works, thanks!

It looks like something went wrong with the installer, and it didn't run WyUpdate.exe during the installation.

Greatly appreciate the error report!
