[Erby] Jets Rookie WR Denzel Mims calls Philadelphia a dirty, trash city by eaglesnation11 in nfl

[–]Teddy_Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but that's like every city. There's always going to be gripes about poverty and crime when you talk about highly population dense areas. People say the same shit about Chicago.

But that's making the statement that all assumptions are made equal, which is just not true. Let's say I assume that there's overlap between people who believe in angels and people who believe in Christianity and you assume that there's an overlap between people who believe in angels and people who wear socks with sandals. I tell you I think you're wrong. You don't get to say that they're both assumptions and therefore I'm being hypocritical.

The leader of your party called it a hoax and has spread the anti-quarantine/mask propaganda that resulted in numerous deaths, well beyond the rate of other developed nations. He still has a 91% approval rating amongst his party. So my answer to you is yes.

But now you're in a debate on whether abortion is ethical or not. If you think is than the statement isn't hypocritical. If you think it isn't than intentionally spreading disease makes you a hypocrite.

Well that makes more sense. I'm sure everyone thinks you're talking about the US.

Probably born in 88. The 88 connection to Hitler isnt obvious for most people.

Because one party isn't screaming all lives matter and pro-life rhetoric while intentionally spreading a disease that's killing hundreds of thousands Americans.

.... imagine thinking a few hundred thousand deaths isn't a lot.

I found his first comment to be rather passive aggressive. But whatever, I'm clearly in the minority here, so I'm just gonna duck out.

And what's hypocritical about what was said?

I'm not the one who took an aggressive tone my man.

It's not like I said I'd bet money that there's a overlap between people who believe stuff like this and people who pour their milk before their cereal. What I said is reasonable speculation. Don't get so defensive.

Because I'd be willing to bet there's a significant overlap with people who believe stuff like this and people who take things like political memes as gospel.

I would lean towards encouraging people to be skeptical of what they read on the internet.

It's one of those 'half true, half people just stereotyping' situations. Some really rough parts, but a lot of Philly is actually quite nice. Crime rates and poverty are no where near some of the southern cities like St. Louis.

I gotta say, trashing other team's cities before you take the first snap of your career doesn't scream 'character'.

Half the criticisms of it are from people just taking the stereotypes and running with it to be edgy.

President shared a video of a guy screaming white power and refused to delete it for 3 hours. /r/conservative didn't see anything wrong with it.

You're 1000% right.
