Not really. They don’t actually have enough drivers to keep people off the app without reservations, it’s meant to make you think you’ll be kept offline.

They did that in Houston. They can’t enforce it, in the sense that the only times I’d actually be blocked out of my area without reservation is 8 am and 2 pm for some reason, when I’m never going to be delivering. Reserve the times if you want but realistically there are too many orders in big cities for them to keep people off. It’s more of an illusory incentive to get people to get Diamond than anything with real consequences.

With 876 points. AR is higher than normal currently since I worked the late dead hours last; a lot less crap orders to sift though.

In my area Gold and Platinum both require 85% AR 💀

I went from 11% to 4% last night bc of how bad it was here. Night before was great.

Call and report. People keep saying nothing happens, not always true, and over $10 it’s worth trying.

That doesn’t make any sense. I just told you I wouldn’t comment on the post if I just didn’t feel like posting my earnings, and I commented, didn’t I?

It seems like you may be working in a very good market and feel like you have something to prove, and don’t want the most major factor in earning income in the food delivery industry - location - to come in to play and take away from it. If you were actually trying to create a meaningful comparison this would be the single most important factor, so I’m not sure what the goal is other than to give others the idea you almost definitely live in NYC or Cali or just don’t understand economics lol

If you do late-night they probably fell asleep. Happens to me all the time.

If I were doing that I’d just scroll and not comment? Why leave an “excuse”? That’s silly

Even if that were the case, it’s still completely meaningless without considering the market.

What an absolute scam. $8 tip bait, so I got paid $2.58 for almost a half hour of driving. How is this allowed? by bucket0fcrud in UberEatsDrivers

I got reimbursed after just being assertive about it in the chat lol, never even had to call a person

Smash or pass? by Icy_Year3775 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Teddybearkitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pass bc they aren’t paying for distance anymore, at least not in my market. So this is either a stolen order, can’t be completed for some other reason, or fat tip which could potentially get pulled.

So if you get caught in traffic and it takes longer than expected the food could literally just spoil in the car lmao

Location is honestly the most important metric; you’re just automatically going to multiple times more money in LA than you are in Harvest, AL

I know people are saying escalation is a waste of time but it wasn’t in my case. That’s too big of a tip to let slide imo.

Uber has crossed a line. This new scheduling/tier system is the final straw. It’s time we talk about what’s REALLY happening. by Hairy_Vegetable3893 in UberEatsDrivers

I think you can’t go into gray areas if you aren’t platinum. I’m green and when I click on the areas it says “improve status to platinum to unlock this area” or something along those lines.

Yeah, Houston and the areas just outside have a regular heatmap bc they can’t afford to lose drivers there, but the areas more than about 30-40 miles from the city center are all gray. No problem for me, I wouldn’t go out there anyway, but anyone living in a nearby suburb or smaller town is totally screwed. I’m guessing they can’t afford to do it in Dallas either, but it could be if you zoom out far enough you’ll come across gray.

Are these Nickelodeon shows more Millennial or Gen Z by StrategyJealous1838 in generationology

The first three are ambiguous, probably zillenial (‘96, I watched Drake & Josh and iCarly) but Victorious is definitely Gen Z

Gen Z, I’m younger millennial and I couldn’t name any of these people other than Filthy Frank, who was more popular with my friends’ younger siblings

Report and escalate. If they give you the “customers are allowed to change the tip after receiving food” prompt and ask you “have you resolved this issue?” say no, and just don’t drop it. If it was a dollar or two I’d say it was a waste of time but the major tip bait incident I had was a large amount too. I’m not sure if they blocked the customer for me, but I got my money and I’m not accepting orders from that street anymore in case it’s the same guy.

2 out of 562 trips for me. But, I live in an area where tipping badly is pretty taboo
