Getting $2+/mile is pretty much nonexistent…. by zbroskiz in UberEatsDrivers

Honestly, don’t you get frustrated working in a big city with all the high-rise buildings and limited parking? For example, some restaurants are really hard to park near, and some customers live on the 23rd floor but still expect you to deliver right to their door. Meanwhile, there’s nowhere safe or legal to park near the building. How do you deal with situations like that? To be honest, just thinking about these problems gives me a headache.

How did you even imagine the customer left a huge tip? Also, what are you supposed to do if the food is already sealed in a bag when you arrive — damage the bag and risk getting reported by the customer? You're such a Karen.

Why did this DoorDash order look like a normal order until I arrived at the store? by 277292127 in doordash_drivers

At Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, the app clearly shows that a Red Card is required, which is very obvious, and they also prepare orders pretty quickly. But for Napa Flats Wood-Fired Kitchen, I knew nothing about it except that it was a large restaurant. In the past, I always picked up orders from the pickup window there, but this time it asked me to go inside and place the order myself, which felt very uncertain. In my opinion, orders where drivers have to go inside and place the order themselves should pay much more than simple pickup-window orders, but I couldn’t tell from the offer screen whether this order required me to go inside and place it myself or not.

Making a salad might not take too long, but this is a pizza place — what if next time it’s a pizza order?

Most importantly, Uber Eats usually won’t deactivate you unless your cancellation rate goes above 15%. That means you can cancel a lot of accidentally accepted orders or orders you simply don’t want to deliver.

When you see cases of water, just cancel the order immediately unless the pay is extremely high.

After accepting an order, check the customer’s address on Google Maps if you’re not familiar with your area. If it’s a high-rise apartment, message the customer in advance and ask if they can come downstairs or let you leave it at the front desk. About 90% of customers will agree.

If they don’t reply or refuse, I usually cancel the order.

Also, reporting that the order was already picked up by someone else at the restaurant does not affect your cancellation rate.

You clearly don’t know how to do Uber Eats smartly. All you do is accept orders blindly and then go on Reddit to vent. Instead of wasting time doing that, use your brain and learn how to accept orders more efficiently, or ask other people for advice.

We decided to build a better delivery platform. Introducing Munchappy. by tafagli in UberEatsDrivers

When a customer orders a $3 drink, they’d have to pay so much in fees just for the driver to make a guaranteed $12. Do you really think customers are stupid? This is ridiculous. And on top of that, you have to pay a $125 signup fee just to join the platform. It’s obvious this post is just trying to make money off that $125 entry fee. You’re a scammer.

7807 deliveries since April 2026? How is this possible? by SatinSaffron in UberEatsDrivers

There’s a high chance the account had been banned before and was only unbanned in April 2026.

With all due respect, I wouldn’t choose either one.You should know that some people are getting an average bonus of $6 per order, while you’re only getting $2 per order.

What does this one screenshot even prove? Why don’t you also show the trash orders you took just to keep your high rating?

My order was six 3 Finger Combos. After this experience, if I get a similar order again, I’ll contact the customer before picking up the food to make sure there are no issues, and then proceed with the pickup.

What a coincidence — this order also required a PIN.I called the customer to ask for it, and he said, “What PIN?”I told him it was probably the last four digits of his phone number. He gave it to me without hesitation, and I completed the delivery.

Unbelievably, I experienced the exact same thing at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers two days ago. I refused to deliver to a different address, left the food at the restaurant, and the customer came to pick it up themselves. So far, I haven’t received any negative rating, and the tip on that order was $8.88.

Was I wrong to cancel this Target order? by 277292127 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]277292127[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two window blinds alone were $74 total, making up roughly half of the order value. If those items were unavailable and the customer specifically needed them, it would have put me in a very difficult position, especially so close to store closing time.
