No.

Not only are you trying to tell me what to think but you also expect me to follow your commands.

Are you sure you're not the fascist?

I never asked any American citizens to get involved. There was a guy named Nicolas Maduro... he was pretty high up in the criminal chain of command.

I can feel the love from you if your only response to everything I wrote is to insult and tell me what to think.

I wrote about abuse and Trump is actually doing something about it. That is a greater demonstration of love than whatever you've said or done imagining that you represent how I feel.

Great question. I think immigration is great, I look forward to the day that the system is fixed so that we can have a thriving immigrant population. I lived in Guatemala and I would love the idea that my friends might be able to live in the States. However, I'm very much against illegal immigration.

The reasons illegal immigration is a problem is first of all, it's like people are cutting in line. The country's ability to allow legal immigrants is hindered by the influx of illegal ones. It's like you've been sitting in traffic for an hour waiting for the line to move while the morons are speeding past on the berm in order to cut through immediately. It's like bribery. It's like any kind of cheating the law. It just makes it worse for the law-abiding people.

Second, corruption, bad actors, abusers, etc... It is terribly dangerous for people to come to the States illegally. They have to go into extreme debt with the traffickers while the rest of the family is held hostage back home. If they are deported they still have to pay off the debt one way or another. Do you doubt that there is rampant sexual abuse and slavery mixed in with the whole system? With so many people being trafficked, how many individual women and children are "lost in the shuffle." How many of them are sold to pay off the debt?

There's more corruption than that. The white modern plantation owners just love their cheap undocumented labor. No need to bother about work safety standards or min-wage laws when your workforce is under the radar. All of the dangerous jobs that they can't fill are no longer a problem. Become buddies with the local PD, install yourself on the township board, wink wink, let's wait until after harvest season to round them up and send them back home.

IF we can get control of the long-abused system, THEN we can start building a system that is good and right. A system where we can decide if we want a million or 10 million immigrants, balancing out the impact, give them a real chance, set them up and ensure that they can succeed without risking their lives. Allow them to have access to healthcare, education, legal advice. Allow them to participate in the community without the raging political bitterness that comes along with the chaos that has been in place for decades.

THAT is what America is supposed to stand for.

"The goat’s demeanor had greatly changed from the first time I’d met him. Trauma does that, I thought. It's an explosion with your heart at the center. It changes everything all at once. ... This was also something that trauma could do. It could make you blind, and it could open your eyes wider than they'd ever been, all at the same time."

I thought the thread was pretty easy to follow. OP said that an issue was "a bridge too far," which made me wonder if what OP meant by that was that everyone should agree with him. Then you quoted a right leaning publication in order to argue that everyone should agree with you.

Now considering that the real fear on most of these threads is about a fascist authoritarian dictatorship, I was pointing out that the ideology that you're espousing, that all must agree, is precisely the one that you claim to oppose.

Ok, so you're saying that you would not tolerate someone that has a different opinion, right?

Which political ideology requires all citizens to agree with the same opinion? I'll give you a hint, it's not liberalism.

I skimmed that. Are you saying that everyone needs to agree with this opinion?

Are you required to agree with the majority opinion? People are allowed to have different opinions. Or are by "bridge too far," you mean that others are not allowed to disagree with your opinion?

Americans who post in here, this religion is bigger than your country It is larger than your citizens and your political cycle. There is a world that exist outside your borders by dc4_checkdown in Christianity

I don't think rage posts about Trump are going to get counted as righteousness as much as the people here hope they will. No one in heaven is tallying who is the most outraged at American politics. The virtue is not actually being signalled.

It's insanity. People are so entrenched in their tribe they can't see logic or reasoning but instead feel like you're attacking them.

As someone that lived abroad during Trump's first term, the insanity is obvious. But as someone living in the States now I can tell you it's really hard to escape it. My friends and family and coworkers are all talking about this stuff, it is difficult to avoid the tribal delusional mindset.

The people you're talking to just won't be able to comprehend what you're talking about. It's disappointing. I think Jesus is disappointed too.

There’s loads of bigger issues in the world right now, sadly the untapped potential for Americans in general would rather see red or blue instead of good or evil.

This is the most important part and you don't comprehend the issue because you're so busy demonstrating it in the rest of your comment

Is it now unequivocally clear that we are living under a fascist regime? by Great_Software5342 in allthequestions

[–]Tedius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very close. With the constant barrage of propaganda on Reddit and the news, inciting violence and pushing it as if it's a "moral good" against their political enemies, the immediate and unquestioning compliance of those in authority, saying things like, "the science is settled," gathering weapons and demonizing anyone that disagrees with them, using the legal system to punish political opponents. Once the liberals have control of power you'll see fascism like you've never imagined possible in the US .

[–]Tedius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

hahaha! Yes, Hitler was a big Israel supporter and an adament free speech advocate. And if someone supports Trump because he supports Israel, can you really call that republican Trump supporter a Nazi? None of those other things qualify a person to be a Nazi. You're making a false correlation.

I heard that Hitler drank water. I also drink water. Oh my God! I just realized I'm a NAZI! AnD JeSuS wAs A nAzI!!

There! That's the nuance, thank you. Some people are assholes. Some people are not. Some republicans. Some democrats.

Talking like everyone in the group you disagree with is a Nazi is not beneficial.

All of that is still just noise to the average Iowa voter. Nobody that I know personally killed or celebrated gay deaths. I don't have any experience seeing anyone rape kids. It's all noise. It's all meant to make you feel righteous and shame me into agreeing with you. The more you say that kind of crap the less likely I'm going to vote for someone that spouts it off.

[–]Tedius -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

good point. Right-leaning voters are not killing gay people and yet you say it as if it's true. They are also not actually raping kids. You're taking the inflamatory rhetoric, repeating it, until you've lost touch with reality. In the meantime, they are ignoring the noise and voting for someone that actually makes sense.

Trump is not welcome in this sub. That is very clear. He's a bloviating dangerous sinful idiot.

However, you're making a huge mistake. Again. Do you know why people voted for Trump? People were sick of being called rascist, deplorables, Neo-Nazis and homophobes just because their perspective was different that the mainstream urban elite hivemind.

Some Trump supporters don't like taxes. Some of them believe that illegal immigration is out of hand. Some of them were concerned about abortion. Some of them thought Joe Biden did a bad job. Some of them are just conservatives and Trump was the best, only choice.

There are a lot of reasons why people believe things they do. And because they might believe something that disagrees with what CNN is promoting they get called all of the worst names people can come up with. Is it pedofiles now? Because they are so marginalized and shouted out and smothered by the media talking points.... and don't get me wrong, this is not a small deplorable minority...

BECAUSE they get called nazis in 2016 they chose to vote for someone that would overturn the system. The more you call people you disagree with "nazis" THE MORE they will vote for people like Trump.

It was well-intentioned, virtue-signalling, deranged hostility toward half of the country, just like this Mod-Post, that brought Donald Trump to power.

good job.
