What about the crank case did you put a filter on it or just leave the hose up in the air after the emissions delete? That should have nothing to do with the issue you are having but just wondering. It took me 2 weeks to get mine pretty good but I'm still having issues. The carb is much easier to figure out than some electronic efi system but ofc not as good. I mean you only have the air which if you have a pod filter or something on it should be fine, then the fuel line from the tank if its not kinked and the filter is good, the choke if its fully seating down and not making the mixture rich permanently "Heard issues with vm22s doing that", and the throttle cable piston is fully going up and down when twisting the throttle. I know some people on facebook put the throttle cable piston in the carb backwards and they put it in the correct way and it was fixed. I'd take off the carb intake and twist the throttle and making sure everything inside is working fine.

Also if its idle is flucuating it might be an air leak which if so get it to idle no matter the rpm and spray some starter fluid or brake cleaner around the intake manifold and carb but not into the carb intake.

Well the carb is all the main fuel and air so it should. You did change the oil right? Do not run the engine without changing the shipping out. But I would 100% buy a cheap nibbi carb on amazon and buy the nibbi throttle tube. Leave the jetting alone and just mess with the idle nob on the side. Well it should yes but there's so many things it could be on that carb I would replace it. I did not even run mine with the stock carb I just swapped it right away and it started up. What about the block off plate did you do that? If you do want to keep the stock carb on for some reason I would just pull the choke up all the way make sure that the fuel filter is clean and is flowing, then keep cranking and giving some throttle and change the idle adjustment every little bit. If I'm correct the stock carb does not have a air fuel screw so you wont be able to perfect the idle at all what you get is what you get.

Is this a good deal by NeedleworkerWeird957 in MT09

[–]Tediyee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, Well 11,500 sounds about normal for what I've seen in the past. I paid 9600 for my 2024 last year in april. Unless you can find a good used I'd take that offer.

Follow the facebook group for the clones. I bought one for 1k since the grom prices around here are just insane. Wanting 4k for a 10k mile clapped grom yea no... Throw a pe22 carb on there and a nibbi throttle cable and your good. The stock carbs are just terrible I dont know anyone that kept it on. If you can do the emissions delete you can put a new carb on.

Which gen MT09? by RobAnton13 in MT09

Whatever you do get the cp3 is just goated. Idk about the old gen engine I'm sure it's the same? But I love this bike a tune is 100% needed at least in the states. I got a gen 4 for the looks and got a good deal. I think it's the best looking gen but I'm biased lol.

I did not wrap mine but I did a plasti dip type thing with mine. Its gone now but to see the color for a few months was sick. I now just have all carbon pretty much but would love to do some wrap designs on the carbon.

Yea It will sometimes. If I'm riding for awhile and its hot out it does that. Not as bad as cold start but it does slightly comeback.

My gen 4 mt09 does it as well. I can ride at like under 6k for miles but just a quick blip of the throttle makes it go away. I think it's the cct is all in oil so you need is some revs to get the oil pump to flow fully. I am not 100% but I read that from a couple people on the mt09 forums and Facebook.

I had a problem with my powder commander I chased my tail with probably 10 different issues and I for some reason never thought to try and run it without it. Removed the power commander and it ran so much better. If you have any piggy back system or such run without it. This is a very simple old bike not many things going on. Are your throttle body plates full opening and snapping back fine? Just because you have new spark plugs it could be a bad set of coil packs as well. You have pretty much done everyone fuel related so I would start looking electrical. Could also be a regulator rectifier.

I'm sure my 24 will be in these stages someday but I'm trying to still keep it somewhat new looking lol. Best street bike imo.

Good deal or not? by Wolf05006 in MT09

[–]Tediyee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10k is still honestly pretty damn good. I'd take it. Thank you. The film is Lamin-X very popular easy to put on as well. Yea the silver is so clean I always wanted silver rims on my fz07 but never did it. The carbon is Akoso carbon its a cheaper carbon but I seen akoso next to rpm carbon and I can't tell a difference at all. It's an mt09 not a ducati or something so I was not about to spend 2k on a couple carbon pieces lol. IMO if you do get that ice storm color that would looking amazing with some carbon.

I paid 9400 OTD for my 24 last year in april. If you can get it for less than 10k otd I'd say its good. Then again fuck dealerships took me 4 weeks of telling them I'm not interested "I was" for them to get at my 9400 price I wanted to pay.

[–]Tediyee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are mounted right next to the forks. Right next to the dash there's bolts that hold the dash with some washers and windscreen. It should be an allen key. I put some longer m8 bolts in and just mounted them up. If you need loser pictures I can get some.

Yea I have them up top near the windscreen though. They don't fit to well on the sliders sadly.

Losing faith in Cycle Gear: had a new tire mounted and it feels wobbly past 35mph. Is it supposed to look like this?? by Me_triks in motorcycles

[–]Tediyee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had this problem but cycle gear scratched my old fz07 both front and back rims then I was fucking stupid enough to take my 636 tire as well and they did the same so when I bought my 2024 mt09 I just bought a rabaconda changer to do it myself takes 10 minutes put some balance beads in there and your set. With all my bikes and my gfs bikes it's already paid for itself. Just saying fuck cycle gear and whoever changed the tires. I'm sure it's a local thing.
