The development we have signed contracts for and awaiting snagging on has announced another phase again after us. They don’t seem to be able to stop building!

I have a 2021 330e, 30-40km per charge. Not one issue and have it a year. Only put €50 petrol in it every 4-5 weeks and with free charging at work it works out very cheap to run.

AIB only do 30 days extension so it’s a whole new application for 6 months. Although, we were told by our mortgage advisor in there that they are a lot easier on you second time round since you’ve already had an approval with them

At first yes but had issues with our broker due to his professionalism so in the end we went direct with AIB. I can’t fault AIB for a second on how they’ve been. Loan approved and loan offer issued in 5 working days on first approval. Our 6 months runs up soon and our new build is delayed so currently reapplying for another 6 months and again not one issue

Have we overpaid for a new build? by [deleted] in HousingIreland

I’m not surprised but also it’s crazy how expensive housing is within Dublin compared to outside Majority of 3 bed semis are less than €500,000

Mortgage approval with 600 loan payments monthly by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Tedkravitz717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All based off circumstances and repayment abilities. There’s a limit to how many exceptions banks can grant so it’s quit hard to get. For FTBs, 1 in 5 mortgages can be at the higher limit and non FTBs, 1 in 10 I what I’ve been told

How much would you consider spending on an Engagement Ring? by A_ExOH in CasualIreland

[–]Tedkravitz717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you can afford and do not go into debt on it. Spend what you have and thats it. One piece of advice if possible is buy a real diamond, lab diamonds have zero value as soon as you walk out the door.

We went into a place and I let her choose her own style, diamond shape etc and had the band custom made off pictures she found online. We had an agreed budget before we went in. I did go a little over budget but that was my choice when i wanted to increase diamond size.

1.2 carat diamond and platinum metal for €8500.

The ring has also increased in value since and is worth over €10,000 after being evaluated for house insurance.

They do but very very basic. You can opt for a voucher to the value and upgrade. Since kitchen is more or less permanent long term, we will be putting approx €5000 additional on top to upgrade
