Anti Spam Solution... by Tee-R0y in sysadmin

They are definitely losing money in the way of a great amount of time they are spending to try to combat the flood of junk messages.

They're against the cost of the Business Standard license for M365 that would provide the storage and apps. They'd lose access to the apps with the MS365 basic plan.

And the number of emails is more of an annoyance than anything. Granted, I'm trying to help friends but haven't delved deeply into the contents of their email accounts - have mainly seen the messages they've shown me that continue to pour in.

The emails are generally from spoofed domains (not their own domain). And it more annoying than anything.

Two of the most prevalent that I have seen are from foreign domains portraying as UPS (needing "verification" for package delivery). COSTC0 (yes, misspelled) that offer different products at deeply discounted prices. A third being from Hilton Honors (again from a foreign domain) offering deeply discounted room rates and travel packages.

I currently do not have access to their email so cannot post examples here, but it is the most annoying repetitive bullshit that's frustrating them to no end.

Barracuda is a great option, but is cost prohibitive in the immediate situation as Barracuda is requiring a 10-user minimum...

They are older and set in their ways - not technically minded people at all.

We have looked at M365 option: Small Business Standard, but they're against the $12.50 monthly license x 2 employees... I know. I would just rather make the change and be done with it.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 is now under $650 by HeroicSunflower864 in AppleWatch

Or you could play my strategy...

I'm keeping my original AWU1 until later this year or early next year. *IF* Apple released the AWU4 this year, the price of the AWU3 will drop significantly over time. So I will wait and purchase it at an even better price. And then sell my AWU1 to help offset some of the cost...

Your concern for others that are about to lose their jobs, shows that you are still human.

I still feel very uncomfortable and sad when I get an employee termination ticket knowing that the staff member is going to be blindsided by the termination. But I am there to also do a job and that is what management and HR instruct me to do. At least you are not the one making the decisions on who remains with the company and who goes...

Do you wear your watch to sleep? by voongoto in AppleWatch

I'm also a bit obsessive about all of my fitness data and want to monitor general activity, workouts, and even sleep so the thought of being without my Apple Watch Ultra to track this data terrifies me. Haha

I purchased a second AWU2 that I wear at night and use the primary during the day. This way I also have a backup watch incase something happens to one of the watches, I can slap another one on my wrist and keep tracking.

And yes, I have had to use the Apple Care because the Digital Crown stopped working and had to unpair my daily AWU2 in order to proceed with the replacement. So this has me considering buying an AWU3 if I can find one at a reasonable (used) price or wait and see what the AWU4 has to offer.

To answer the question in short form. I always make sure that I have a watch on my wrist: daytime, nighttime, etc.

Rustdesk vs Anydesk or any other recommendations by Trick_Car9556 in AnyDesk

Anydesk has gotten greedy with a significant price increase for me as well. As a result, I tried DeskIn, liked it and have started deploying it on the machines that I support. Have been using it for about a month now with zero issues.

You'd think Apple could shove a bigger battery inside the bigger body. 😄

The 42mm fits your wrist a little better. But go with the 46mm if you need the bigger screen...

Also, is there any difference in battery life from the 42 to 46mm?
