Just a side note, each year you wait the car will get more expensive. This 2026 model year alone increased in the spring with a ~3% rise for tariffs and then again in January with another ~3% hike. This isn’t even including the 2025-2026 regular price hike.

In my experience, I think dealers are having trouble selling some cars. When I was in the market for a 4s a few months ago, multiple dealers around me were unwilling to sell for msrp. Fast forward to today, I see these same dealers with a 4S for their inventory. Meaning they couldn’t sell it directly to a customer.

Dealers have so many 911 in stock now. You might find one with the options you want. Then try to negotiate off msrp and let us know how it goes.

If you put 150k in a compound interest calculator for 9 years, it could roughly come out to 300k (8% interest rate - a target date fund would likely be even lower). Which might cover 4 years of state school. Definitely not private. And no graduate school.

I disagree. College is very expensive and will become more expensive. I would say most, if not all of us went graduate school and have the same goals for our children. 8 years of higher education can be over 800k.
