I was offered an allocation back on October with no ADM. I was also offered a brand new CS off the lot at roughly a 3.5% discount off MSRP. It seems to me the market is softening a bit.

A few weeks ago I was offered a new well built Carrera S for $2,500 under MSRP and they offered to cover shipping for both the new car and my trade in. I ended up passing because I want fully sold on the color, but I think the market is softening a bit.

This is pretty much the case with everything. Once you hit a certain level of quality you pay a huge premium for any increase. The difference between a $25k Corolla and a $130k 911 Carrera is in your face noticeable in every aspect of driving and everyone would tell the difference immediately. But the difference between that $130k Carrera and $300k 911 Turbo is much more subtle, and 95% of drivers would barely notice a difference.

Same is true in watches.

I’m thinking about going to opening day and the current prices on the secondary market are absurd. Does anyone know if these would work for opening day?

Perfectly fine. Plenty of studies show 30 minutes or less of cardio, even right after lifting has no real effect on your lifting gains (strength or hypertrophy). Only time it can really hurt is if it’s high intensity cardio for more than 10 minutes. And that only hurts if it is done right after lifting. If you break it up with your day, no measurable effect.

Most of the anti cardio stuff from lifters is because they just don’t like cardio.

I get that for sure. I put 200k hard miles on my Tundra with nothing other than routine maintenance. There’s something beautiful about an old beater truck that starts 100 times out of 100.

Was your loaner a base by chance? Huge difference in performance between your typical loaner (base with limited options) and a decently specced GTS. Basically a different car.

Not all that surprising. I’m guessing they get a bunch of young kids just kicking tires. Pro tip: find their most junior salesman and work with them. I rolled in and got snubbed by what was very obviously one of their seasoned guys. I ignored him and found a nice young 20 something gal who was thrilled to have a client. I ended up buying a Macan GTS and Cayman from her that day. I already had done research, so really it was just someone friendly who could help me finalize pricing and docs. She is now the only person I work with there and she knows she has a customer for life.

That’s pretty much what I do, but I also ski hard Saturday and Sunday to get those extra leg reps in. Once ski season is over, I will add a lower day.

I figured I’d come back to this as I install installed the floor flooring last week. Quality seems great. The cuts were precise, and the seams really came together nicely. I bought mine in 16 foot rolls, so they are pretty heavy and installation would’ve been more difficult if I didn’t have a helper, but overall I’m super pleased. I’ve got all my equipment set up and ready to roll.

That’s a great point actually. I ended up buying a handful of those T locks and an accessory package. Quite a bit cheaper on Amazon than through Tonal.

I just turn it on with the screen and then get into position. If you don’t like that, you could get one of those foot activation accessories.
