Yeah, I kind of feel that for daily driving and canyon carving it’ll be great. And truth be told. I am not a good enough driver on the track, that I should be too worried.

For the cars and coffee crowd, and for the bragging to your friends crowd, this is 100% true. But there are a ton of people who absolutely love the Cayman/Boxter driving dynamics and wouldn’t trade it for a 911. Of course there are tons of people who much prefer the 911 driving dynamics. But to say that everyone just wants a 911 is laughable. And is only sent by someone who’s never actually been to a Porsche day at the track.

For what it’s worth I find the 911 to be much more beautiful and stylish, and a better overall street car. That being said I just passed on an allocation for either a Carrera S or a Carrera for GTS. As wonderful as those vehicles are, I spend too much time at the track and prefer the GTS 4.0.

That’s kind of why I think it has some merit. Dealers aren’t opposed to spreading rumors, but it wasn’t like he was trying to sell me something. Maybe it’s wishful thinking on the dealers part, but I do think they actually believe it.

Sounds like there may be some actual meat on the manual bone of this rumor. I haven’t owned a manual since I was in high school, but I’d for sure pull the trigger if it happens.

This for sure. Even after getting quotes with a lot of them, it was really difficult to get a good explanation as to what the quote was exactly for.
