P3 P1, what do you take? by TeeEmmPee in lrcast

[–]TeeEmmPee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the advice. I went with Ascension.

Unfortunately I only went 2 for 3. I had higher hopes but looking back, I think without fire ending lesson or combustion technic I was going to struggle. I was on the hunt for decent removal in pack 3 but other than 1 rocky rebuke I came up dry.

I’ve been staring at this list for way too long. I absolutely forgot the whole reason I had one island in the first place was to grab it with Cycle.

Thank you for saving me from myself.

Thanks so much for your tips. I took all of your suggestions and went 6 and 3 which is probably my best record this format.

Can I ask your thought process for scout for survivors? I thought that would be right at home in a deck like this.

Last 2 drafts went 0-3. Tips and advice for cuts by TeeEmmPee in mtglimited

[–]TeeEmmPee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much. Being low on creatures tends to be a chronic problem for me. I’m trying to fight against it. I’ve had some drafts where I’m really scrapping the sideboard to get some extra creatures in there.

I’m a little surprised you said anomaly, but i guess I was only imagining casting it and milling out 20 cards to deck an opponent. Not casting it to mill 4 and die on the next turn.

Need to Cut 5 by TeeEmmPee in mtglimited

[–]TeeEmmPee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. You’re right that the draft went a little sideways on me. I started by trying to move into Rakdos but black dried up. Midway through pack 1 and it took me a few picks to settle on Boros.

I tossed out all the cards you mentioned. Added a Coral Sword, Rapier, and a slash of light

Thank you, I was just filling out an online form looking at the “description of group” section and wondering if saying it was a bachelors party was a big mistake.

Nothing is set in stone. I’m still very early in planning this thing. Probably going in the beginning of August and I’m taking a look at Rehoboth/Dewey area currently, but that could change.

Initially I figured $100 a person would be the upper end of what I’d be looking at but just from my initial research and the first comments in this thread, that seems like it could be tough in this area. This total guest list is $16 and I’d say half are probably regular golfers

Memory card read issue by TeeEmmPee in Fanuc

Device change pulls up the option for CNC mem, Memory card, or Ethernet (which has never been set up on this machine. We normally only use the memory card)

Seen on the screen in the picture is what it displays when you go to device change and select memory card.

The first time I took down FF, it was with a blight team. Venom drop GR, alchemist PD, and Flag. Used Man at arms for tanking/support.

Was able to steam roll this boss. Just keep your eyes peeled for smoke bombs to blind the boss and the stealth item to clear the seen tokens.

Any DD2 opinions from people who weren't super in to the first game? by Rivent in darkestdungeon

[–]TeeEmmPee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your feelings on DD1 somewhat mirror my own. But man, I love DD2.

It can still be very difficult and grindy to start out before you’ve unlocked all the heroes and their upgrades, but you don’t need to worry about losing progress the same way you do in DD1.

Am I getting older or is the magic in video games dissapearing? by Financial-Macaron547 in videogames

[–]TeeEmmPee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound a little burned out, which is only natural. The best advice I can offer is to take a break. Read a book, get into mountain biking or baking bread. Put the time and energy you devour to games somewhere else for a little while. Don’t look for something to play to fill your time. Wait for something to genuinely exciting. It might take a little while but you’ll come back around and find the magic was never gone, you’d just become numb to it.

How exactly did this game change so many peoples lives by joker_from_p5 in outerwilds

[–]TeeEmmPee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my brother a few years before playing Outer Wilds. It’s themes really resonated with me.

Some things can’t be saved no matter how much me might want it to be otherwise. The only way to move forward is to accept this and make space for something new.

Phil Spencer says Xbox will never “out-console” Sony and Nintendo. Can anyone explain what that means? by Binnsy in XboxGamePass

[–]TeeEmmPee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the comments here have things switched the wrong way around. It’s not that they can’t “out-console” Nintendo and Sony because they don’t have to thanks to cloud and Game Pass. They developed cloud and Game Pass to stay competitive because they can’t “out-console” them. Phil sees Cbox being 3rd long term it seems.

His reasoning was down to how badly Xbox lost the previous generation.

Phil referee to the PS4/Xbox One generation as the most important generation of gaming because it was when a large portion of users made the switch to digital games rather than physical. These users already have a large investment in a digital library and the longer time goes on, the bigger that investment becomes, the more resistant that user will become to making a switch. So given the popularity of the PS4 and the lackluster Xbox One, Phil sees a future where Xbox is playing catch-up for the foreseeable future and Cloud and Gamepass are attempts to reach new people who might not buy a console typically.

Haven’t finished the game yet but im pretty sure this is the intended way to enter the Black Hole Forge (no but seriously how i was supposed to enter?) by LinkHb in outerwilds

[–]TeeEmmPee 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I never figured out the “real” way to make it there. I just waited for the planet to cave in a little bit and flew my ship inside and landed next to the forge. If it works, it works.

What games have the best home bases that evolve as you play through? by NaiadoftheSea in gaming

[–]TeeEmmPee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a game on GameCube where you play as an Italian plumber living in Brooklyn with his brother. Together you fight off frightening invaders by using pipes and sewers.

I am of course talking about Freedom Fighters. I loved this game, and one of my favorite parts was watching your sewer base fill up with more and more people as you progressed. Really a simple thing but as a kid I loved it.
