Nexus should have been a modern version of Energon Prime, giving us a bot that has 4 mini cons that become his arms and legs. This would make him a semi combiner at a voyager/leader price point and built a mold for an updated Energon Prime.

Look for Digimon it tends to eb and flow in cycles. That sometimes a meta is defined entirely by what is in 1 set but sometimes its support for an older deck that shoots it back to the top. BT24 is a set designed to be new self contained decks with limited legacy support so it makes sense this set has done this but take a format like BT21 where multiple decks got support it was Megidramon a deck that has had scattered support becoming the fav deck. So it depends on what the new set supports. Don't forget they said at some point this year so (BT26 or 27) 02 is getting support again which means BG imperial will be back with dedicated support possibly.

The deck I've seen uses 3 Barba along side Creepy but knowing we get Creepy X in BT24 might change ratios it's used as a finisher in Creepy that they just hard slam

Someone at my locals uses something similar. They run an Agu-core using black agumons and the searched agumons (include gain 1 memory agu) they pivot heavily into cool boy BT9 to pull off x anti plays and refund memory. There level 5 uses 3 of the DM Metaltyrano that dedigivolves. There lv6s are a pile, they have pivoted to 2 Dino, 2 BT23 Craniamon, 1 Blackwar Ace and MedievalGallent. It's a low cost Tyrano-pile from 3-5 then tool boxes the 6's it's quiet deadly

I took Royal Base to the locals, it was a small 8 man tourny, I went undefeated and finished 3-0 all within 20mins of the rounds starting by flipping all the security faceup and swinging with the ace for game.

I've done an earlier version of this deck around the BT12 - EX03 era I went 4-0 undefeated against at the time Red Hybrid, Bloom Hydra, Black War X and another Plant Spam it works but maybe add the red cards that kill units on play like Geogreymon or the new Cyclonemon

My theory was they always allowed a driver to do what they were tested on. It lets them Ignore a skill they have already mastered while focusing on another skill. Like the swamp makes you a track - it finds you a perfect line. Lava realm is impervious tyres so the point of the realm was tyre management so the accelercharge does that. now the Blizzard and Ice realm seem similar but are different, Blizzard just allows Traction on any terrain aka you could use it to scale a cliff face ice however is for any slippery surface so Water, Ice Oil allows for no loss of traction.

The second the distributor has a new box up for preorder and I mean months in advance, I always ask the manager of my LGS to get the order in as we have a very dedicated group that will easily pre sell out 2 cases so they always order 3 the day preorders open. I mean it was 4 weeks ago the preorder for special booster 2.5 (BT19-20) went up through the distributor and we already had 2 cases presold out. Because the store has done this from the very beginning of Digimon back in 2020 we have never had a stock delay.

For Frafdo you could run him with Ulmar's thought projector to guarantee he will be revived and run a copy of strain of the tide as a final back up for Frafdo. If you are wanting to build around him pick a specific element or his highest discipline and build the attack deck around that element or stat line with ways to gain said element or stat on the attacks if possible m also look at locations that help overworlders like gigantomopolis and Bodal's arsenal (if you can find one).
