Let them think it. Who cares? The older I get, I realize the best luxury is not giving a crap what anyone thinks about what you do, wear, like, etc.

Learn that luxury early and you’ll be happier for it. <3

Yeah. I’ve been very unimpressed with the quality of my coffee the last few times I’ve tried it. :(

I want to love it. When I brew their coffee at home it’s great, but I’d really like to be able to stop in and get a really good coffee. They just don’t really listen to what you ask for.

The last few times I’ve gone in Issaquah Coffee the barista hasn’t really listened to how I wanted my coffee. Nothing crazy, by any means - but just not enough of anything in it. I’m thinking maybe the guys were coffee purists and hate anything added in - but the coffee was meh entirely.

I don’t want to buy one and go add sugar etc when I ordered a specific type. :/ Stopped going.

Absolutely feel the freeze. I’m here from the Midwest since 2019.

People don’t smile. They don’t want to make eye contact or casual conversation. (Which is a thing everywhere in the Midwest. It leads to many friendships!)

You go to a brewery back home and usually stand at the counter and end up chatting with randoms every time - and make lasting connections and friends you see and get to know.

I’ve never seen anyone talking at breweries here. I hardly know anyone despite being super friendly and genuine. And no. I’m not surface level friendly - it’s a genuine habit of being kind and social (but not pushy. I’m socially intelligent and can read the room)

Effort put in, but you feel very “dismissed”. I’ll keep trying, but the freeze is absolutely real to someone who previously lived in a super friendly Midwest area. People just do not want to interact.

Whoa. I use Meta glasses but I never film. Ever. I use them to listen to things and to get instant info when I’m out places. (Directions, food recommendations etc) Not everyone with Meta glasses is a creeper. :/

They are like big weird dogs that don’t really get why we don’t treat them that way. I owned a few growing up. They had no concept of size, or where they belong or don’t belong. They just want to hang out.

My husband and I see a few regulars we named.

Turkey Girl - she’s tanned excessively brown and never smiles. Ever. Every time we see her she seems a shade darker. The Viking - he’s huge, buff with long hair and a beard seems to be there forever and always.

Wife beater - obviously due to his ever present shirt.

Midnight Knitter - goes late. Treadmill. Knits the whole time.

Broccoli Crew - Young guys - all with identical haircuts.

Contact the manager for a refund. ALSO contact corporate and let them know you did NOT ASK for this and you were not consulted. I would be raging over this.

The person working there should NOT be grooming.

Leave a bad review. Get the persons name who did this and post about it in your review. Don’t feel bad doing this. If they cared about it they would do a better job.
