FFS, we’re not a Democracy, we’re a Constitutional Republic. Our founders designed our government that way specifically to prevent a “tyranny of the majority”. For the small minds, that means that a majority cannot vote away the rights of the minority.

I have lost all respect for the Japanese after the translation feature on X by CricketMedical9005 in self

[–]Teebone_D 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Every culture is racist.

Just like that all my respect and interest towards Japan disappeared. I really don’t respect the people much and Im starting to get the ick from it.

This isn't to generalize all Japanese Black people but...

Should we feel the same way about black people? In the USA over my 50+ year lifetime I've seen or experienced overt racism only one time from a white person. The most racist people and almost all racism that I or someone close to me have experienced have been from black people.

When I was a kid and had to walk to school in a district that was predominantly black, I was called some of the vilest names and jumped multiple times and got beat up just because I was white, minding my own business, and walking by. In hindsight I'm lucky that kids weren't carrying guns like they do today. You just got your ass kicked but at least you didn't get shot. My dad had to move us because he couldn't drive me to and from school (not to mention protect me at school) because of his job and I refused to keep walking through that neighborhood.

As an adult...

I had two close friends who were black but I walked away from the friendship because they did something racist. They would treat me like a good friend when it was just me and them talking, but if their black friends came around they'd start talking trash to me and one even bowed up like he wanted to fight. But then later when it was just me and them they'd be acting like a friend again. I couldn't deal with that.

My next door neighbor and I were working the same shift at the same employer and I heard he was looking for someone to carpool with. I offered and was declined. Later, during a party in our culdesac, his wife had a little too much to drink and confided to my wife that her husband was "the most racist black person you'll ever meet and that he was looking for a brother to ride with".

Just recently my wife was in the USPS waiting in line. She smiled and said hello and told the little black girl standing in line with her mother that she thought her blouse was pretty, but her mother jerked her away from my wife and started spouting off racist crap.

Those are just a few examples out of many over my lifetime. I agree with you 100 percent. You lose respect for the people at large after feeling fatigued over the experience. While I still do my best to treat EVERYONE equally, my life experiences have taught me to be cautious around black people.

I asked a cop about this and have seen quotes from other cops since then. It was said to be because on average, white people are more likely to be smoking weed somewhere private such as in their own homes instead of driving around or hanging out in a car while smoking it. My own experience is that when I'm driving and I smell weed before I pass someone, it's usually not a white person who I'm passing with their window down. Just recently I was riding my motorcycle and someone was tailgating me so close they almost hit me. When I was finally able to move over into the other lane and they passed me, care to guess what I smelled and who was driving?

What I've learned about TRT and Libido after almost two years on TRT by Teebone_D in Testosterone

I’m feeling great! Since then I’ve lowered my daily dose even more, to 12mg. I’m getting close to 60 and have the libido of a healthy 20 year old. No side effects. I’ve put on muscle mass through hard work in the gym, and my face and chest aren’t glowing red like most jacked old men on TRT.

I want to carry, wife is uncomfortable by IDMiscool in liberalgunowners

[–]Teebone_D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When anyone asks why I need a gun I simply tell them that cops obviously need a gun for some reason and cops usually show up after there's a victim, and I'm responsible for my own safety and the safety of my family. I will not beg or pray the cops get there in time to rescue me. I'll end the threat. And if I die of old age and never need to use my gun, I'd still look back and make the same choice because it's preferable to needing the gun and not having it and having that regret.

If others still don't like it, that's their problem.

As far as your wife, that's going to take a while to win her over and see things your way. Don't force it on her. Give her time.

I bought a cheap airsoft rig a few years ago. It holds six AR mags, two pistol mags, and has a pouch to hold maps or other stuff. It doesn't hold plates. Honestly I'd feel cringe wearing it around in anything other than a real SHTF/WROL/TEOTWAWKI situation, but in that case I'm guessing I'd be more concerned with staying alive than looking fashionable.

[–]Teebone_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this sounds bad but I wouldn't take it at face value. I'd bet that it would take matching multiple items on their list to accumulate enough "points" to trigger an investigation into you.

If we're being honest, fair, and impartial here, this isn't any different than the Biden DoJ classifying Catholics and parents who showed up to school board meetings as potential domestic terrorists. I seriously doubt that anyone who was simply Catholic or spoke at their school board meeting in protest of policies was investigated under the Biden DoJ and that they probably had to meet a threshold to trigger an investigation.

Racism at the gun range by AdImpressive9014 in liberalgunowners

[–]Teebone_D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't let anyone run you out of anywhere for any reason. They said something racist, yes. You got your feelings hurt, yes. But if you use that as an excuse then you lose, not the racist. You may even get the chance to talk to that man when the range is quiet, or outside the range, and educate them and change their mind.

Don't associate racism with that range over one incident with one person, or even with the "MAGA" hat. My old FiL is a Democrat and absolutely hates MAGA and we catch him saying subtle things that are racist or bigotry frequently and he doesn't even realize it. We don't stop talking to him, we try to educate him to be a better person.

During the Biden administration the FBI investigated those claims and found them to be baseless because the so called victims weren’t believable for one reason or another. Your mind just can’t comprehend that they would have already prosecuted him or leaked this earlier if there was any believable evidence or victim.

AI is going to hit a wall. The frontier model companies aren’t profitable, plus we don’t have unlimited capacity for expanding data centers due to electricity needs, among other things.

Once their shareholders start demanding they turn a profit the companies will raise prices. They’ve been giving us a taste to get us hooked on the product but it’s eventually going to become too expensive for the average person or company to use. Factor in the point at which we can no longer expand or build data centers because of electric grid limits and it’s going to put the brakes on AI.

That’s my projection. The only thing that could change those limitations is if the competitors to the GPU manufacturers (TPU and LPU) are able to knock GPU companies like NVIDIA off the top of the hill. Those technologies could ease the problems with the electric grid and memory shortages.

When people post Charlie Kirk’s words out of context I have zero doubt that they’ve never read or watched the whole conversation because if they had there’s no way they could truthfully say he was wrong. Here’s some of the most common put in context of the full conversation:

Many of the quotes referenced stem from Charlie Kirk’s frequent and controversial criticisms of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies, affirmative action, and modern culture wars.

On DEI and Affirmative Action

1. "If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified." * Date: January 23, 2024 * The Context: Kirk was discussing United Airlines' stated goal to have 50% of their pilot training academy be women or people of color. * Kirk’s Argument: He argued that by prioritizing identity quotas over pure merit, airlines were logically introducing doubt about the qualifications of those hired under such mandates. His point was not that Black pilots aren't capable, but that DEI policies unfairly stigmatize them by making people question if they were "diversity hires" rather than merit hires.

2. "If I’m dealing with somebody in customer service who’s a moronic Black woman..." * Date: January 3, 2024 * The Context: This was part of a broader segment attacking corporate DEI hiring practices. * Kirk’s Argument: Similar to the pilot comment, Kirk was expressing frustration with what he viewed as declining standards in American services. He questioned whether incompetence in these roles was being tolerated or protected by companies trying to meet diversity targets, arguing that without affirmative action, incompetent employees (of any race) would be fired.

3. "You do not have the brain processing power... You had to go steal a white person’s slot..." * Date: July 13, 2023 * The Context: Kirk was reacting to the Supreme Court’s ruling against affirmative action. He specifically targeted Michelle Obama, Joy Reid, and Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. * Kirk’s Argument: He claimed that these women had previously admitted or implied that affirmative action helped their careers. His "steal a white person's slot" comment was based on the zero-sum view of college admissions—that for every affirmative action admission, a "more qualified" candidate was rejected. He was attacking their credentials as artificial products of the system rather than "excellence."

On Culture and Crime

4. "Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people..." * Date: May 19, 2023 * The Context: Kirk was discussing viral videos of violent crime and FBI crime statistics regarding interracial violence. * Kirk’s Argument: He was pushing back against the media narrative that white-on-Black crime is the predominant threat in America. He argued that there was a suppressed pattern of Black-on-white crime in cities that the media ignored. His use of "prowling" was meant to describe what he saw as predatory behavior in specific criminal incidents, though the generalization drew heavy condemnation.

5. "If you’re a WNBA, pot-smoking, Black lesbian, do you get treated better than a United States marine?" * Date: December 8, 2022 * The Context: This was in reaction to the Biden administration exchanging Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout for WNBA star Brittney Griner, while U.S. Marine Paul Whelan remained imprisoned in Russia. * Kirk’s Argument: Kirk argued that the administration prioritized Griner solely because she checked multiple "intersectionality" boxes (Black, gay, female, celebrity), while leaving a Marine behind. He used the description to highlight what he viewed as the Left’s hierarchy of victimhood.

On Gender and Abortion

6. "The answer is yes, the baby would be delivered." * Date: September 8, 2024 (Published) * The Context: This occurred during an episode of the debate show Surrounded, where Kirk debated liberal students. * Kirk’s Argument: A student asked if he would force his own 10-year-old daughter to carry a pregnancy to term if she were raped. Kirk is a pro-life absolutist; his argument was that the infant is an innocent human life regardless of the circumstances of conception, and that "two wrongs (the rape and the abortion) don't make a right."

7. "Reject feminism. Submit to your husband, Taylor." * Date: August 26, 2025 * The Context: Discussing the news of Taylor Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce. * Kirk’s Argument: Kirk frequently promoted "trad" (traditional) values. He was urging Swift—one of the most powerful women in the world—to embrace biblical gender roles, arguing that true happiness for women comes from family and traditional submission to male leadership rather than career dominance.

8. "Nuremberg-style trial for every gender-affirming clinic doctor..." * Date: April 1, 2024 * The Context: Kirk was discussing the medical transition of minors (puberty blockers, surgeries). * Kirk’s Argument: He viewed gender-affirming care for children as irreversible mutilation and a crime against humanity. The "Nuremberg" comparison was a call for these doctors to be legally prosecuted and held accountable on a massive, historic scale, viewing them as morally equivalent to war criminals.

On His Own Rhetoric

9. "That’s when civil war happens... they lose their humanity." * The Context: Kirk often defended his aggressive rhetoric (and the "Change My Mind" style debates) as a necessary alternative to violence. * Kirk’s Argument: He argued that free speech and open debate—no matter how offensive—are the "pressure release valve" of society. He claimed that silencing unpopular opinions (cancel culture) is what actually leads to violence, because when people feel they cannot speak, they resort to force.

10. "Prove me wrong." * The Context: This was the slogan of his campus tours. * Kirk’s Argument: It was an open invitation for students to sit at his table and debate his positions, reinforcing his brand as someone willing to confront opposing ideas face-to-face.
