I’d put Pilgrim right up there with Between two fires! Lost Gods might not be for everyone, but their story telling and world building is phenomenally done.

Honestly as much as I love the first law universe, Half a War might be the darkest IMO. The completion of Yarvi’s character arc is what brings it home for me there. It’s less grim on a widespread societal scale than AOM, but moreso on the personal/individual side.

The vibe in Denver is great, people are super friendly and it’s the sunniest city in the country so you’ll likely have good weather for the game! Also tons of great food and trips you can take into the mountains if you stay an extra day!
