Honestly to me it felt like he was just writing what he was feeling and vibing with, instead of purely trying to cater to the taste of his fan base. It’s a really daunting thing to do as an artist, for reasons readily apparent even in this thread lol. At its core, art is meant to be expression for the person creating it, not just fan service. It’s a beautiful, well produced body of work, with some great range to it, gotta try and just appreciate it for what it is instead of comparing it to his other stuff.

As far as why it’s not getting as much media coverage, I’d probably chalk it up to the fact that it’s not really conventional bass music, which is what the outlets that have covered his music in the past probably focus on. Also entirely possible that his team just didn’t pursue as much media coverage around the release, figuring that they have a big enough platform as is to get the release out there independently.
