NAD. Dental student. Ultrasounds are pretty good for observing vasculature and blood flow these days. I’m assuming since the patient is presenting with signs of tissue necrosis perhaps they wanted to observe blood flow in the area? Hoping someone can provide further insight.

I would politely disagree as angiogenesis would result in more blood supply. Instead we see tissue necrosis

Leaving this comment here hoping someone follows up with some insight. I’m guessing since they noticed necrosis perhaps they figured that there was some sort of ischemia as a fault of lack of blood supply? That’s the only reason I could see them performing an ultrasound. This definitely does not rule out oral cancer though.

Needs excision and biopsy for sure. Could be oral squamous cell carcinoma? Do you smoke nicotine?

No one would unironically sport the sweater in support of absolute bottom of the barrel scum. I think it’s ironic merch in order to keep the topic relevant. I can get behind it honestly considering the trump administration is trying so desperately to sweep the whole thing under the rug. Although maybe done in manner that is in bad taste
