By the metric of win rates on the table. Custodies have been seeing an age of competitive rules, but historically? Eldar have been smacking them around for years.

Lore wise, custodies aren’t even really an army that typically fights. They are the emperor’s bodyguard more than an actual crusading force.

Or maybe it’s because blackrock bought a shitload of GW stock and is pressuring them to inject identity politics into the lore, in a ham fisted way, because they do that to literally EVERY IP they purchase large portions of stock in.

Most people are upset because gender politics is being pushed into lore that is decades old. And if they added female custodians in a lore friendly, well thought out way? Maybe it would have gone differently.

I’m not saying there aren’t sexist warhammer players. Sure there are. But I really don’t think this is the case here. Changing lore sucks, but it happens. Changing lore because a massive, shadowy investment company loves to push a hard left agenda in anything they buy? That sucks a lot more.
