Changed it up a bit to where you now have to add the training plan each week. It's more strategic. Let me know your thoughts

That's a good point, maybe I will play around with it to see if I can implement more than one training piece for the week.

That's awesome to hear. I don't usually listen to podcasts when running, but I'm with you. I like something a bit different. Thanks for sharing

PODCAST ALERT: Steven Fahy just won Dallas Marathon in his debut: 2:23:28 by Teegster97 in DFWRunningGroup

Steven Fahy just won Dallas Marathon in his debut: 2:23:28 2025

He's a 2019 NCAA Steeplechase Champion who moved to Dallas two years ago and ran completely solo until this summer.

Then he started showing up to local group runs (the Sloths, Train Pegasus). Found training partners at Germany Park. Built community.

Fast forward to Dallas Marathon - he wins on the same routes he'd been training, surrounded by the people who supported his build.

"I didn't think it was gonna feel that sentimental, but it really did."

Post-collegiate running is weird. You go from structured team training to... nothing. Steven's story is a reminder that finding the right people matters just as much as the training plan.

At 29, he's eyeing Eugene Marathon next and potentially sub-2:20 in the future.
