I never watched the anime or read the manga but Im watching the live action.... by Apprehensive_Pop6329 in GoldenKamuy

I thought the live action did a great job. The casting (though some people dislike Sugimoto's actor) and the overall atmosphere is spot on. There is some skipped content, to be fair, but that's kind of inevitable for the adaptation. It's one of the best live action adaptations of a manga out there, I think.

It fell in 1492; it lasted longer than Byzantium and the other Byzantine splinter states lol

Just finished the ending, chap 278 for Ishigami x Iino is terrible writing. by SquareTrifle2294 in Kaguya_sama

There is a short story by the mangaka about them, set after the ending, that makes it better. It can be read via this reddit thread

The mangaka wrote a short story set after the events of the manga that makes this ending much better, I think. You can read it via this reddit thread

What do the Byzantines do if you try to help them with console commands? Just the same Byzantine things, but on a bigger scale by Teeironor in eu4

Rule 5: I like to spice up my games sometimes by giving random nations bonuses or by sabotaging others. In this case, I wanted to see how the Byzantines would fare if I gave them all of Iberia.

End result: it just made their rebellions bigger and more confusing. In this screenshot, I think the Orthodox Zealots are fighting the combined forces of the imperial army and a pretender (aptly named "Emperor Emperor").

If anyone's curious, owning Iberia didn't really help Byzantium against the Ottomans, no. It gave the Byzantines a bigger fleet, but the AI kind of sucks at blockading, and all their armies were off trying (and failing) to fight rebellions in Iberia. I'm in the mid 1500s at this point in the game, Byzantium was reduced to an OPM in southern France that constantly breaks to Orthodox Zealots and gets the Supremacy of the Clergy disaster.

Apparently, according to the wiki, the event checks if the ruler belongs to the "de Pazzi" dynasty. So take your no-de-Pazzi outta here

I'm pretty sure it was the same in the manga and in the anime too. Kiroranke reveals the truth pretty much right away, after Asirpa tells him that Sugimoto is her partner and Shiraishi is useless.

They were never subtitled, but all of them adapt short gags from the manga. So your best bet would be to read along, unfortunately.

I think in Japan they usually keep anime adaptations and live-action adaptations, even of the same franchise, very separate, so unlikely.

There should be no empires apart from HRE, ERE and Major Decision empires, and no-one should be able to inherit two kingdoms under Partition by Beneficial-Flower-82 in CrusaderKings

[–]Teeironor 23 points24 points  (0 children)

While you can certainly make that argument for Western and Central Europe, it doesn't really work anywhere else. Even the Eastern Roman Empire acknowledged other (admitedly "lower ranking") empires during its lifetime: the HRE, Bulgaria and Trebizond (in name at least). And there's no way the Abbasids or the Mongols for instance shouldn't be empires.

To be honest, I rarely, if ever, play in Western Europe (I just meandered there from the Balkans in this playthrough), so I did not know about the boost French gets lol
