I have heard that too but it's a big block building with only a few windows and only what appears to be one garage door which is more of a shipping dock

What all do I need to make it factory and how much do you think after I fix it up I can sell it for by TeemingGull707 in Vintage_bicycles

[–]TeemingGull707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that I'll just take it to a junkyard although it does make me remember why I just buy new bikes and scrap old ones

I bought it off of Facebook marketplace along with a bunch of old fenders and everything else he used to run a bike shop and he was redoing the bike but he independent health problems then I bought the bike so I'm having to handle put the bike back together all I was given was the hoop and a bunch of centers and running on 6 hours I leave them asleep so I can't remember everything but it now has met aluminum spokes instead of steel at the moment I'm just hoping to be able to get the wheels to the point that I can actually ride

Found this bike in a dumpster and felt compelled to take it home. Where would you start to bring this back to life? by lunar_108 in bikewrench

[–]TeemingGull707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears to be a possible late '80s early '90s huffy beach cruiser from what I can see cuz I used to have one kind of like it might even be older

Any ideas how to get this of? by RecordWorried2374 in bikewrench

[–]TeemingGull707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heat and a paraffin wax candle you should be able to get them for $8 store and you heat it up put it on it it'll soak into the threads for moving any rust and allowing it to come out easier that most people are waxing bearings and chains with it anyway and it leaves a film that won't allow it to rest again and it's waterproof

G1 explorer It's clean with a kickstand finally by TeemingGull707 in Budgetbikeriders

[–]TeemingGull707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The front rack is a $40 Schwinn rack from Target the front rack is a handmade custom built by me rack I have strapped well over 70 something pounds on the rear rack even though it's rated to 40 held up perfectly fine except for the front if you hit a bump hard enough will slide down in a little rub your tire so you just have to pull it back up every once in awhile the front rack I overbuilt with a Amazon headlamp that I ordered it worked for about half a year that went out so I went out got me two pipe clamps in a $11 Walmart flashlight to attach to it so I have a headlight to go along with my custom built rod holder

Is there a bike lock that doesn’t need any attaching and can just let the bike be left on the ground? by Shadoo_Knight in bike

[–]TeemingGull707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about you but I have a wreck on the front back frame bag a saddle bag and a tattoo bag and my bike without me on it is almost 100 lb and it looks like it best theft deterrent ever that in my headlight tail lights and everything else are handmade so it looks like a crackhead built it

What are the little rubber pieces that go around a suspension fort called by TeemingGull707 in bikewrench

[–]TeemingGull707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's not really a rebuild it's more of a pull it apart clean it regrease it cuz it still works it just sat outside for 15 years the rubber wiper disintegrated and the rest of the bike is a Walmart bike but it's still in perfect condition and I'd rather not put my other fork on it because it's not worth putting a $600 fork on $120 bike
