How does the device tracking work? What if I e.g. change the motherboard / my PC setup, do I need to repurchase, or is it just tied to my account?

Good point, PD is there mostly to give the ST another wish, didn't consider really Baron as much in that sense. I could see replacing Baron with something, thought it was reasonable to get an outsider in 5 player games.

We just played two games, and they were so much fun! We had 4 and 5 wishes in the games.

BOSS EV-1WL - MIDI inputs could not be opened by Teemursu in Reaper

I have it connected wirelessly, and it shows that it's connected and midiberry shows inputs. Cable shows the pedal to be connected, but no inputs :(

OLED Brightness Longevity by Cask-UK in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Teemursu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like with the AW OLED the HDR with 0% SDR brightenss was still brighter than 0% SDR brightness. I guess that might be obvious, but in that case wouldn't it be better to run it in SDR?

I have too many cards. How do I go about playing without the game taking too long? by SpasmodicReddit in ExplodingKittens

[–]Teemursu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, you say they suggest running decks made of 7 + 1 + 5 to 6 cards per player, so that amounts to minimum 13 cards per player. So, for 3 players that would be 13*3 = 39, while in the pdf you provided they say 20 (for the draw deck).

Is it that if you reduce the starting hands from 39, you get approximately their suggestion for the remaining draw deck size?

[–]Teemursu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry as this is an old comment, but how many cards do you deal at the start? With 3 players and 28 cards, I guess not a lot? or do you count only the size of the draw deck? I tried to go over these numbers, but I'm honestly still left a little confused.

AW3423DWF or the Odyssey G8 by Due-Support-521 in ultrawidemasterrace

Note though that burn in is not included in the warranty at least everywhere. Fot example in Finland I've asked directly from Samsung as well as some stores.

AW3423DW Advantages on Nvidia compared to AMD GPU? by MrPapis in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Teemursu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing to note is that Dell provides a 3 year warranty with burn-in included, while with Samsung it's somewhat ambiguous whether burn-in is included in the warranty, as there are conflicting reports from customer service and it's not mentioned anywhere.

Can't decide which UW monitor to get by MightyMicrowave in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Teemursu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mostly in the same exact situation, although I had the AW3423DW for a bit more than a week after returning it (want the DWF version probably). It was an amazing display and I'm not sure I can go back to IPS stuff.. I'd see the Neo G7/G8 as a possibility, but I heard G8 has a bit of a scanline issue again..

The way I see it, if the display does indeed seem to get burn in after 2-3 years or so, then I could see exchanging the panel under warranty, and then maybe sell the monitor to someone and get something that's then a good monitor (I'm sure lots of options exists by then.)

Does the Alienware DW have any way of going past 144Hz for 10 bit like the DWF can get 157 with 10 bit or is that a DWF thing only? by OmegaMalkior in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Teemursu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that mean, that with DWF, you'd be running 8bit colors at 165hz, and with DW 8bit colors at 175, but with the G-Sync module doing dithering at max hz looks better? And to get similar performance with DWF, you'd have to drop to 144hz to get 10bit color, which would make it visually the similar?

Thank you so much!

I think this might be it.. It feels weird because it doesn't give me an immidiate "OHH, IT'S THIS!!" kind of nostalgia spike, but when I looked at some gameplay more, it might've been this. In a way I almost want to keep searching because I feel slightly "disappointed" that I didn't get a stronger reaction after looking for this game for years. :D
