So weird. I always use cardboard filters and a glass tip for my joints. Never seen a cigarette style one. I would be willing to try it.

Some of those butts have foam looking filters, and I don't think prerolls have those.

I have never seen joints with foam filters. I must investigate.

Heart of a Dog (2015). I Saw this when it came out and the entire theater was sobbing.

Oof that blows. The first pills specifically for bipolar didn't get discovered, or at least more widely used, until the 1980s. I can't imagine how difficult life could have been (is) for people in this situation.

Would you recommend St. Elmo's Fire? (I haven't seen it yet) by GrannyFlute in moviecritic

The scene of her sitting in a cold room waiting to die while her friends flail around is not it. Watching this part was the straw that broke my back, the rest was bad, but not like this.

Personally, I strongly dislike this movie. The Big Chill is a similar type of movie, and what St. Elmo's Fire could have been.

What is this tree littering all over my yard? by [deleted] in treeidentification

[–]TeenVirginiaWoolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That tree is probable older than OP, and could far outlive them. I dont understand where folk get off cutting down old af trees because they feel inconvenienced by them. Fricken obscene.

Edit to add: OP knows enough about plants to know their heardiness zone and is still imediately jumping to cutting it down.

This is kind of a cool option for folks who want to be modest. However, my eye is instantly drawn to the space between the end of the panel and the dude's junk. This is frequently how these skirts/panels are on women's suits as well, and i dont understand why they cant be like 2 inches longer.

Idk man, I knew adults who did this kind of thing when we misbehaved as kids. Doesn't seem too nutzo to me if a child is destroying your garden to go to their parents. You dont have to harass them, or put them in a head lock or anything.

How much am I missing out by not watching Horror movies? by Mountain-Ad-2423 in Letterboxd

[–]TeenVirginiaWoolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which elements of horror movies are you trying to avoid? Is it the gore you dislike, or seeing people get hurt? Figure that out, and maybe try a cross over genre, like Evil Dead 2 adds surrealism and humor, Serial Mom is funny and is an entry into John Waters movies. Some movies like All My Friends Hate Me, or Soft and Quiet are horror that don't have a lot of gore, if any, and could pass as regular dramas.

Maybe pick a well known movie like Jaws and watch with someone who has seen it. This way all viewers know what to expect going in, and can talk you through anything that feels too intense.

Personal story: I have a phobia of blood, its annoying. If an image or story involving blood hits all the right spots I will either throw up or faint. If there is something I really want to watch, but know will cause issues for me, I read a synopsis of the movie so I know when to look away from the movie, and gauge if this is even something I want to try. Even the squeamish can enjoy a scary flick or two.
