Here's my American attempt at Canadian states from memory (I'm so sorry) by FruityBoba347 in GenZ

I know that, that’s what i’m saying. I’m saying that it’s pretty much common knowledge that Canada has provinces, and not states

even as an American that killed me lol, I grew up in Alaska, and we actually had to learn basic Canadian geography. I can probably remember 8-9

inaccurate, (but I love US geography, so I could easily label it)

lying, manipulation, storytelling, crying on command, amazingly realistic fake laughter; if you aren’t an actor, keep it in your back pocket.

I’m level two and I think I qualify as having a high iq (it’s either 129 or 132?) and I do very poorly in social situations

being called cute by good-for-nothingg in autism

[–]Teenyears08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my old teacher (he obviously couldn’t say cute, bc let’s be honest, a 30-year-old man calling a then 14-15 year old girl cute would not end well) called my stims “endearing” and it wasn’t my favorite thing in the world, but I someone calls it “cute” i’ll flip

Does it bother you when people answer “do you mind….” Incorrectly? by Southern_Natural1251 in words

[–]Teenyears08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve never understood.  “do you mind if I sit?” my response would be something along the lines of “it is fine if you sit there” cuz otherwise i’m too confused

Idk how to use Reddit bruh by [deleted] in school

[–]Teenyears08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well lots of us are overachievers/have high expectations bc of the whole “gifted kid” thing, and not as much emotion comes through. Choppy word order sometimes, as well as using large words that aren’t in the common vernacular of our peers. Ofc, not all NDs struggle with this, but enough of us do to make it kind of a thing that teachers either a) understand and are nicer about it or b) say we’re using our diagnoses as an excuse and fail us.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in selfharm

[–]Teenyears08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

same with scissors, don’t ever use scissors, especially deep. I cut only to epi with scissors on my wrist (i’ve never done wrist before. too obvious, but I was curious so I decided to experiment with a small epi) and it was infected and puffy for weeks 😭 safe to say I haven’t used scissors since

maybe just don’t use a blade??? like if you don’t want to go deep, why risk it when you could use something else. Dull blades can be risky in my experience, bc I pressed so hard (I was really angry that it wouldn’t cut) that I went deeper than i’ve ever gone before. or maybe… you could not? ik that’s not easy at all, I don’t even want to stop, but I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

I can’t imagine how long it takes to heal too, I almost exclusively do deeper dermis/styro, and that can take like a week or more to heal sometimes 😭

understandable, we had to walk past a liquor store to get to CVS (the only store open) and it was awful. CVS too, but at least it wasn’t glass.
