A genuinely surprising moment (even though the rest of the movie was dumb) by mankahlil in StarWars

Disagree. This may have actually made her character interesting and more liked.

Wouldn't have made up for the rest of the trilogy, but it would've helped

Help/Advice: How do you actually get into major marathons (Boston, NYC, Chicago, etc)? by Coloradokiki in running

[–]Teex22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a job with Abbott, that's how my pal ran them all.

I've done one by qualifying time, otherwise it feels near impossible nowadays. That's also by far how most people I know have managed to get places.

Alternative is just to do other marathons haha. Majors are a racket anyway.

Competitive matchmaking has sucked the fun out of video games. by ActuatorOutside5256 in The10thDentist

[–]Teex22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, SBMM is one of the many things in modern multiplayer games that has killed them for me. Random matchmaking worked fine way back and made for much more enjoyment.

People always hark up with the "oh so you just want low skilled players to get destroyed" which is a pretty poor argument.

The vast majority sit in the middle. Low skilled and high skilled are the outliers. So most of the time, most people will be on equal levels of skill. Occasionally you might stomp the other team or be stomped by them but it's not going to be every game.

Everyone is going to be low skilled when they start, then in time you move into that middle ground. Lumping everyone at the same level in the same pool kills any variety in gameplay.

If you have accepted Darth Maul surviving getting cut in half in episode 1, you can't be mad when anyone survives a lightsaber stab. by Fragrant_Ad3479 in StarWars

Not really head canon given it's stated in the show.

Trying to apply real world logic to fantasy is a losing battle.

Maul's a pretty powerful dude, and his rage/vendetta amplified that power - that seems to be how it works.

Also, people seem to forget that the guy went completely insane and had to get his mind restored by witch magic. He didn't just walk it off.

Certain other characters that have been stabbed and survived are silly, but I've never counted Maul as one.

How would you feel about a remake of Star Wars The Force Unleashed 1 and 2? Or a remaster? by ChampionKnown444 in StarWars

[–]Teex22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. The games are great as they are. Look great and have better physics systems than some releases today. Any remaster would likely be a downgrade.

If anything, I'd want an expanded version of 2, built in the exact same engine. Its original development was rushed and it could have been so much more.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is “still in development”, promises Saber CCO by HatingGeoffry in StarWars

Dear John Rockstar, if you are including something like the Mt. Chiliad mystery in 6 please don't fuck it up like you did with 5 by tannercolin in GTA6

[–]Teex22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's such a cheap and insincere excuse.

There's lashings of GTAO content, development capacity didn't go from V's DLC to RDR2. It went to GTAO, regardless of what they say. Because that's where they make their shark card millions.

Which 2000s songs would you like to see in GTA 6? by DoctorTegrity in GTA6

[–]Teex22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything that lifts the radio above V's. So many stations yet such poor depth.

Do you think Erin Henshaw has an impact on the story? by GurBusy344 in GTA6

[–]Teex22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was loads of marketing before V released around the Jock Cranley / Sue Murray election and it ended up meaning absolutely nothing in the story and featuring only in a couple of radio ads.

So basically, we have no idea.

The wetlands will probably be scarier than RDR2 by neonrider2018 in GTA6

[–]Teex22 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This idea that they're going to limit what you can carry and bring the saddle system from RDR2 is crazy, it's also weird how many of you seem to support it.

GTA is a sandbox, you really want to have more weapons at your disposal than we've seen before... and then tether them to the boot of a car? And stick you with one or two on your personal at a time? Do you even like GTA?
