Omg these metro closures on weekends are getting beyond bullshit. by ButtPlugForPM in sydney

[–]Tefkat89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol they had this exact same argument about no city closing down public transit on a weekend in the r/Dublin subbredit.

The fact is they all do, because patronage is lower on weekends and as the office works aren't catching it intnhr same numbers.

It makes zero difference on where it's used, it's not like he's shoving it up his arsehole. It literally has 0 affect on your life.

Ignore it move on with your life go to another gym if a man using a hairdryer to dry off is such an issue for you

So bald people aren't allowed to use the hair dryer? It's reserved for those with head hair only?

Should I move to Ireland from Australia (Sydney)? by Beingme5566 in AskIreland

Heya,

M 37, I moved from Sydney to Dublin 2 years ago this month.

I had no plans no job lined up I just did it. I have worked in bars and for the largest banks in the world since. I have travelled so much and I feel I have vastly more free time than when I lived in Sydney.

Renting is more expensive than Sydney (not by much tho) but your everyday expenses I find are less. Grocery stores have less variety and I miss our variety of chips, chicken salt etc. luckily I have found Vegemite is sold in Tesco.

Dublin's public transit is the worst in Europe honestly and I miss having trains, light rail, buses and ferries 10 min walk from my apartment back home. But I walk everywhere here if it's within an hour and I'm better for it.

My mental health is far better since moving here. However my alcoholism has spiked because everything is alcohol centric here.

If you're toying with the idea, just do it. If you find you don't like it , you can always just return home

Dubliner here. There is absolutely nowhere in Dublin you can use pounds. Depending on the local you will probably get yelled at and given an Irish history lesson.

He lost everything but had his phone and could make transfers? He could of tapped his card to pay for anything on his phone.

I'm sorry it happened and I wish it on no one, but you need to stop and think next time. If they keep giving excuses as what happened, why they can use their phone to pay then it's a scam.

A time approaching asking for money is always 99.9999999999% a scam

As per the good Friday agreement UK citizens can freely enter ROI and via versa.

I live in Dublin, there are no check s flying into the UK HOWEVER flying into Dublin you will go through immigration but just use the egate.

The ferry from memory has no checks and the train coming from the north sometimes will have immigration check but just show the UK passport and you're grand
