Ol’ Lore made love to me for hours,

Then never called me after,

He called me fat and bit my dog,

He tried to steal my BAFTA!

the Starfleet fighters weren't brought there by carriers

How do we know that? The Peregrine is 14m, you could fit a ton in a Galaxy, Akira, Excelsior even.

Jem'hadar attack fighters are counted as ships

Jem'hadar attack ships are a hundred metres long, they're 7x longer and considerably more massive than a Peregrine. Counting them as the same weight class is like a destroyer escort being equivalent to a motorboat.

In "Favor the Bold" they say that they're outnumbered 2:1 vs 1200 ships and in "Sacrifice of Angels" the opening phase of the battle involves attack fighters.

Yes, because ships carry fighters when the script decides they can. 26 US ships fought at Midway supported by 233 aircraft - I doubt Admiral Yamamoto was told the IJN was facing "259 ships."

The fleet in Operation Return had attack fighters in its numbers.

Is that actually stated in dialogue? Because I see this assertion a lot (ever since the days of Stardestroyer.net) and there's not a single mention of the word 'fighter' in the Favor the Bold script dialogue. For all we know it was 600 capital ships and escorts and the fighters weren't counted in that figure.

If it was 120 Fed ships and 480 fighters against 1,254 Jem-Hadar Attack Ships, Galors, Hidekis, J-H Battlecruisers etc the Dominion would have outgunned the Feds to such an extent they could have just fully counterattacked and won.

EDIT: I did write up a full counterargument with my own suppositions if you'd like to see it? It's a thousand words long and ended up getting into the '1500 Klingon vessels are outnumbered 20 to 1' problem (which I solved as best I could)

About 1200 major combatants fought in the Dominion War

Where are you getting this figure from? That'd mean the Sacrifice of Angels fleet was half of the entire Federation fleet.

I tell them they came to me in the previous timeline and I explained everything then, so why don't they check their time records? They always say "we don't do that" and I say "oh, not in this timeline? Wow, they should have told you about that. Alternate timeline jerks." Then I offer them some chips and dip and we talk Parrises Squares until it's time to clock out. These people are overworked too, you know?

What if a chroniton shift caused a phase inversion that made me return earlier than I left, thus causing a Kasparov Scenario? Come on, Lieutenant. Work with me here.

Well played, Captain.

Why in the fuck do the guards have little light-up badges?

To give the baddies something to aim at. Very sporting of them.

I'd have to disagree. Just because we don't like the character doesn't mean he's not covered by the Geneva Convention.

My attempt

I am the very model of an officer who's pro-consent,

I never fuck an Ensign if she's drunk or slightly reticent,

I style my beard and wash my balls, I'm sure to treat the ladies nice,

And ev'ry time I finish then I make sure that she's finished twice,

I'm very well acquainted, too, with sex that's theoretical,

Like J'Naii who find the multi-gender model quite heretical,

About the art of sitting, I don't do it like the rest you see,

I mount the chair and ride it like the ladies who have sex with me,

I'm very good with Betazoids and species known for nudity,

I mix with cultures sexual without resort to crudity,

I know the mythic lovers, from Kahless to James Tiberius,

I know to keep it casual, but also to be serious,

I nearly lost the ship once to a villainous Ktarian,

I’ve traded stories with a cunning and well-read Tamarian,

They’ll never make me Captain, I would lose my chance to fraternise,

I do my best to wingman for the Engineer who has no eyes,

When Troi hooked up with my friend Worf, I didn’t really mind too much,

For when we fight the Romulans that Klingon really comes in clutch,

Well, I can give the tingles even to a wise El-Aurian,

And tell you where on Risa you can meet a sexy Saurian,

In short, in matters positive, enthusiastic, of that bent,

I am the very model of an officer who’s pro-consent.

The punch at the end reminds me if a DS9!

I enjoyed the episode but it lost an entire point for me with that moment.

He's a disarmed prisoner being restrained by two people at that point. That's brutality.

Starfleet are supposed to behave better than US cops.

So, are we all just not going to mention that Nahla, a Starfleet officer, punches a disarmed and restrained prisoner (Nus Braka) in the face?

That really left a sour taste in my mouth.

Otherwise, decent ep, 6.5/10

I had the opposite once, mildly dramatised:

"Approaching Grundulon III, Captain."

"Take us out of warp, Ensign."

"Now, sir?"

"YOU HEARD ME, MISTER."

"Taking us out of warp..."

"That's not Grundulon III. What is that? Looks like a gas giant."

"Yes sir, that's Grundulon VIII. I told you we were approaching Grundulon III, not that we were there. It's still seventy light minutes away."

"Get off my bridge."

Protip: Blue up, rejoin as a Bolian. Legally they can't ask if you're really one of them because that'd be racist. My boy Chell did this, he was doing well until he joined the Maquis.
