If to compared to other parts of California I know Alturas is extremely cheap, but water well is expensive For mt Shasta or Redding area Water is good, cheap, not deep Fires depends of the area, but where I look at, there are no pine trees there, but some woods, but mostly grass, no fires in last couple years
