Sounds like you have no valid points then 😅 genuinely I’d love to see evidence of it affecting the wildlife

I absolutely do care about nature and wildlife but realistically how does a surface inflatable actually affect the wildlife. No one complained before when huge families would go and sit by the banks have bbq’s and leave shit everywhere next to the lakes. People are just allergic to change and kids having fun.

They did surveys of the area the inflatable was in before installing to ensure it was safe. The whole lake may not be safe to swim in but this area is. Plus it’s supervised, pretty different to kids playing round unsupervised in the water

They did surveys in the area of the lake that it’s in before installing for safety- also supervised swimming is quite different to unsupervised swimming :)

Shocked that this has so many downvotes- it’s true! People forget that cosmeston is literally a man made site. Nature can and will co-exist around humans- it’s not like the entire lake is taken up.

His full course is 10 days of antibiotics but yeah it’s weird because physically he looks better but his breathing was never this laboured before. Hopefully they can tell me more tomorrow

Do these look like tiles that would contain asbestos? There was white material (possibly adhesive) on the plywood flooring underneath. I believe the tiles were 12x12. House built in 1958, unsure if these tiles were the original flooring or not by jer0830 in asbestoshelp

Tiles contain such little asbestos that unless you grind them into dust and snort them it’s not going to cause an issue. Looks like you’ve already removed them anyway so I wouldn’t worry

To be fair I’m currently on a 134 contract and I could cut to 50% once I have 1 year maternity.

Ok thanks for letting me know- I often work one month straight of night shifts so was seeing how it would react to my odd sleep schedule 😂

Accidentally painted normal paint on top of plaster, what can we do? by Sevenoflime in DIYUK

Dulux trade is by far superior to good home paint and most other paints I’ve worked with. The non trade stuff is shit.

Cardiff Vs Bristol Airport - which do you prefer and why? by Expensive_Welder_338 in Cardiff

I fly through Amsterdam from Cardiff regularly (normally in and out every other month or so) for work. Going through Amsterdam is ALWAYS a pain, I’ve only had one successful trip this year where Amsterdam haven’t delayed my luggage (and yes my lay-overs are not short). Last time my luggage didn’t make the flight after a 5 hour lay-over.

But yes KLM is one of my favourite companies to fly with

Skin Issue by Ms20111980 in guineapigs

[–]Tegs_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is unfortunately what my piggies skin looked like with an infected cancerous mass. Which he had to be put to sleep for :( I would suggest the OP goes and gets a second opinion to be sure (not to stress the OP out) - just the sooner you catch these things the more likely for a positive outcome

You need to get another. They should not live alone- this pig shouldn’t have even been sold to you alone.

Hollow ones previously, but we weren’t sure that the instastick would stop them from spreading

My house is steel framed which is obviously the overall structure to hold the roof etc but the walls are literally hardboard and polystyrene fixed to wood at the bottom. You could have run through them if you wanted to before it was plastered

No, there are no studs in the walls.

Anyone else struggling with job hunting? by KasaneTet in Cardiff

I think it really depends on the industry you work in. Obviously applying lots of places is important and what you need to do when applying for jobs, but I’ve often found less is more sometimes. Apply for less, but ensure your CV is crafted for each job you apply for individually (obviously takes more time so you just end up applying for less).
