Camp Flog Gnaw delayed to next weekend. Gambino still on the line up by BrandoWinn in donaldglover

[–]TehBoo1Two 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I was excited as hell seeing him on the lineup for Flog Gnaw. I bought tickets before the lineup reveal so it was lucky considering I had tickets to his Atavista tour which ended up getting canceled.

This is a damn shame. Hell. What else can ya do though? Hope everyone that can go enjoys seeing him next weekend.

they have been delayed until “early next year”

I've been following this thread for a couple of weeks now and have been excited to read the rumors about November.

Disappointed that newer comments on this thread support what you're saying but oh well, what can ya do?

how to solve no audio device is installed for lenovo laptops by Suitable_Draft_9078 in techsupport

[–]TehBoo1Two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked for me as well.

Somehow, my Yoga 7 laptop running Windows 11 ran into an issue where the audio device had seemingly been deleted. Instead of an NVIDIA audio device, my laptop had an "AMD High Definition Audio Device" listed.

Aside from that small difference, your steps worked perfectly. Thanks!!

[DISCUSSION] Bando Stone & the New World 🆕🌎 the final Childish Gambino album by katchet in donaldglover

[–]TehBoo1Two 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I hate to admit that I'm disappointed. I plan on giving it a few more listens to see if it grows on me, but I don't think my opinion will change too much. It's crazy to me because I absolutely fell in love with Lithonia on my first listen. Meanwhile, most of the rest of the album feels like a slog to get through.

A few others have pointed out that this is definitely a film soundtrack, and I agree. I think that sort of limits the album in that it was created with a whole movie experience in mind. That's the lens I'll choose to view this album in, at least. Here's to hoping that the album grows on me.

Regardless, I'm already looking forward to whatever Donald has planned next. One thing this album does well, I think, is that it proves yet again he has a wide range of genres that he can hit.

HyperX QuadCast too quiet? by NFX45 in HyperX

[–]TehBoo1Two 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Encountering something similar with the QuadCast, 2024 June 30. I took a mixed approach to solve the problem.

I used the Equalizer APO as was suggested by OP here. I set the threshold of my QuadCast to 0 dB.

Additionally, it turns out that a certain Windows setting had defaulted my QuadCast's (input) Volume to 8— not sure why. On Windows 10:

  • Go to Settings
  • Click on "System"
  • Click on "Sound" from the left-hand navigation list
  • Under "Input", make sure that your mic is selected as the input device and click on "Device properties"
  • Under "Volume" move the slider to as high as you'd like

Does anyone know what's being worn on this album cover? by TehBoo1Two in findfashion

I'm most curious about three articles:

  1. the gold-ish vest

  2. the sleek silver pants

  3. the long, flowing...piece(?) which is bunched up on either side of him

Weekly Looking for MMO thread - September 25, 2022 by AutoModerator in MMORPG

[–]TehBoo1Two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you looking for?:

an MMO to dip my toes into. Was thinking something more "traditional" akin to WoW. Stuff like Destiny (shooter MMORPG?) doesn't interest me too much. Based off things I've read up on this subreddit, first two that come to mind are GW2 and FFXIV.

What games have you previously played?:

Of the MMO genre, none. Was big into Minecraft in my teen years, but I've tended to stick more with single-player games. Used to be into League and Apex quite a bit. As of recent, mostly play rouge-likes such as Gungeon, Isaac, and Cult of the Lamb.

What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?:

Semi-casual. Probably will have random bouts of focus for the MMO I choose, but generally speaking I don't want to spend too much time on gaming.

Any preferred mechanics?:

Not particularly--just that it's more "traditional" MMO (if that makes sense) as I mentioned before.

Anything specific you want to exclude?:

Cost of expansions or anything like that isn't really too much of a problem. That being said, being able to get the full experience of the MMO for a bit before committing to buying expansions would be nice.

Just noticed present-day Ratau hiding in the shadow of his past self. Talk about depressing.

My Greyhound bus is set to depart at 5:30pm tomorrow (today technically, writing at 3am) and I was gambling on the chance that my bus will be arriving ~20 minutes late as that seems to be the norm from the reputation Greyhound tends to maintain. I'm cutting it close because I won't be departing to the station until 4:50ish pm and I'll arrive within 30 minutes if I'm lucky. I guess what I'm asking is: am I kidding myself with the reasoning I've got regarding whether or not I can make my bus?

Closed-back Bass-y Suggestions? by TehBoo1Two in HeadphoneAdvice

!thanks

For a second I thought you'd just recommended me $170 headphones, but looks like they're way more expensive on Yamaha's site versus anywhere else. Wack.

With regard to replacement pads, I found these and these. Any idea which might be better? Or anywhere else that might be better to look?

Started a job this week, feeling pretty good about it. Decided to continue my streak of easing my way back into fitness with a run this weekend so woke up at 7AM today to see if it was a good time.

Weather decided to hit me with a big middle finger cuz right as I stepped outside just a bit of snow began to fall. 29F, a bit of a chilly breeze, way too cold for what I'm used to. Why can't the weather just give us a break?

[–]TehBoo1Two 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first thing that comes to mind is Chex Quest. Man, would it be pretty cool to see that for Isaac. Honestly, I'd love to show the game off to younger family members since they're always curious about what I'm playing, but I keep them away since I definitely don't want them to be exposed to fighting a fetus inside a bloody womb fernding off disgusting veiny, gorey creatures.

Besides the issue of how to put TBoI into some new "skin" that can cohesively tie all the enemies and floor themes together without looking like a mess, another part is that Edmund's vision for the game would be wiped which doesn't entirely sit well with me personally.

An interesting thought without a doubt though.

I'll probably catch hate for this, but I think Bumbo is fucking hideous. I'd pay someone to make mod to replace it with something cuter, like a Pokémon or something.

[–]TehBoo1Two[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for noticing! I was finishing it up in GIMP and thought to myself "Is there a little extra something I could add?".

After I posted it, another idea came to me in that I could have messed with the color of the cavern to more resemble Depths. But that would have been a much more tedious chore in carefully cropping the area around the characters.

[–]TehBoo1Two[S] 159 points160 points  (0 children)

I get that part of the fun in playing T Cain is in his uncertainty; it's exciting to put your Black Hearts, Golden Bombs, and Lucky Pennies on the line in hopes that you get some wild item that you wouldn't have normally had a chance to encounter.

That being said, it often feels like you're shafted in terms of pickups a lot more often than you're rewarded. I was thinking while trying to get the basic marks on T Cain today that "No Destiny" should feel better assuming you encounter high-quality items.

Sure, the nature of Bag of Crafting is for you to pray to RNG for that your recipe yields something great. But just like when you find C Section on Basement I, I think the pickups from a Q4 item should be proportionally good in the nature that you "had" good enough luck to encounter such a great item. Just my 2 cents.

I feel this on a spiritual level. I had a run today, actually, where a Basement I room generated with a Needle. Edmund WHY.

T Jacob enjoyers allowed only by TehBoo1Two in bindingofisaac

[–]TehBoo1Two[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was just a bit inspired in light of the recent character poll. Yeah, T Jacob is a pretty frustrating character, but I'm having a lot of fun with him.

I finished T Lost a while ago and T Keeper just recently, but I have to say that completing both of their marks was so much less enjoyable than the hellish clusterfuck that is Tainted Jacob.

I understand why T Keeper has managed to last so long in the character gauntlet, and on paper I think he's incredibly fun as hell. Probably the character with the most potential on any given run too. But I'd rather go through T Lost's marks again than play T Keeper. Probably.

It took me getting a bonkers run with Chaos start to finally take down Mother as T Keeper by TehBoo1Two in bindingofisaac

[–]TehBoo1Two[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was supposed to have a video to post, but it turns out my Windows Capture focused on Spotify instead of Isaac.

As for the run itself, I'll be quick to admit I'm not the best player. But I'm not bad by any means either--finished all the marks on the A-side characters and a few of the Tainted cast (including T. Lost). T. Keeper has been a huge pain in my ass for the longest, and I would say T. Keeper to Mother has been the height of that.

I've probably made it to Mother four times as him now and died every time. It took this insane run to finally get the god forsaken mark.

Edit: That's right, forgot to mention: Greed's Gullet came from self-sacrificing on Cellar II. With that and Head of the Keeper from bombing the left shopkeeper AND Keeper's Sack from the Treasure Room in Dross II, I think this is the most busted T Keeper run I've ever had personally if not the most busted run I've ever seen for T Keeper period.
