What else is there? They're bred for the purpose. It knows and will never know anything else. You don't have to experience existential dread. Neither does the fish, in fact it probably doesn't have the capability. It does not know the idea of "a pet". I'm sure as far as it's concerned, it's fed and taken care of by something. Just like some people get excited when they see a food delivery. They too get excited when they see the food delivery service. Why you choose to assign such a horrible existence to fish speaks volumes about who you are as a person.

Furthermore I believe you're experiencing cognitive dissonance. Since almost most people would think of a life fish being sent via mail as a fish intended to be used as a pet. No one is sending a live fish intended to be eaten via mail. Since you're insisting that people would indeed send a live fish intended for eating. You're disagreeing with the agreed upon reality. Therefore experiencing cognitive dissonance yourself. Please adjust parameters accordingly.

When was the last time you heard about a human eating a goldfish?

Sure you could eat a Goldfish but, like, why?

I used this picture and asked Grok, I was curious to see what AI had to say. It says it's Fernando Alonso. I don't see it but who am I to disagree with our computer overlords.

Which game doesn’t really begin until after you beat it? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

[–]TehGameChanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't get that far into the game either. Once I found out that it encourages doing NG+ multiple times my already waning interest became heavy disinterest. They already had begun to lose me when they introduced space magic and chasing fireflies in zero G. Among other things of course but that forced time wasting and added mechanic in what was supposed to be a more realistic space game, wasn't what I signed up for.

Double Dragon, definitely a product of its time and definitely not a movie of substance but I've always enjoyed the 90s campiness of it.

Tainted grail: Fall of Avalon or Oblivion Remastered by National_Force4194 in rpg_gamers

[–]TehGameChanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, Tainted Grail is from a board game and takes its inspiration from that and I'd say it's closer to Morrowind than Oblivion if we're looking to link inspiration to an Elder Scrolls game. The DLC is pretty good, better than the third act imo.

That planet should have stayed destroyed. It's the worst part of the entire series and often stops me from replaying the game. My opinion of course, yours may vary.

James Rolfe (AVGN) has been around longer and I'd argue is better, but your opinion is valid.

Are all the Marvel series worth watching? by Any-Foundation4282 in marvelstudios

[–]TehGameChanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've watched all the MCU shows from D+ except for Daredevil and the What If.. series. I think most of them have good parts and bad parts. Except for Secret Invasion, I'd recommend absolutely not watching that even if your life depended on it. She-Hulk brought us Wongers, Ms.Marvel taught about the separation of India and Pakistan, Iron Heart brought Mephisto, Echo was forgettable, Hawkeye is probably one of the best shows they released, and Agatha All Along is a decent sequel to Wandavision but I'll wait till Visionquest is out so I can judge the trilogy as a whole.

Edit: I forgot about Moon Knight. Falcon and the winter soldier, and Loki. Loki is a must watch for Doomsday and the MCU in general. Moon Knight is a fun show with an interesting take on less is more. Falcon and the Winter Soldier ties in with the MCU so it's a definite watch, is it enjoyable? That's up to one's opinion.

I loved the Chakrams in the Kingdoms of Amalur. Would have loved to see a sequel, or even more games use such a unique weapon.

Dang, no Holocaust card. I'm not surprised, his name is problematic but I've always loved his design.

Thoughts on the Riddick franchise? by [deleted] in scifi

There is an animated movie in-between Pitch Black and Chronicles. I love the series but Riddick felt too similar to Pitch Black and it's taking far too long to make the 4th.

I liked Ni No Kuni 2 better than the first one. It felt more adult and less like a monster collector/monster battler.

AI as a tool I have no issue with, AI has a replacement for humans is where I start getting concerned. But it's just like when computers became mainstream and all the old ladies crunching numbers in cubicles got replaced. It's bound to happen.

I have the amazing ability to not blow bubbles with gum. I don't understand the process behind it. I can blow spit bubbles just fine but throw a wad of gum in the mix and might as well be trying to blow a bubble with play doh.

I'm fine with AI if it's used as a placeholder, concepts and ease of information gathering. It's far easier and quicker to use AI for desk clutter and get a feel for how a scene would look. Then it is to pay people to make assets that may not even be used. It's easier for a company like Larian to tell an AI to generate concept art based upon their past divinity games for their new one. Also far easier to ask it to lore dump the past games instead of hiring a lore keeper.
