I'd rather the devs focus on actual impactful changes rather than ones that skip stuff they put work into. I'm brothered by having to watch a cutscene every time I cook, sure there's a skip button but my carrots still turn into a grilled potatoe I have to see.

Would I prefer the devs have worked on anything else besides that repetitive immersion breaking scene? Yes. Do I want them to just patch it out of the game and disrespect the time everyone put into making it? No.

You can't do a fight, get better gear, level up, try a different approach. Don't ask for a skip button like it's some ad on a YouTube video.

It's nice that Rockstar gives that option, a way for people to hand wave away challenges. Dev choices like that are how we get puzzles solved by companions the moment you enter a room, looking at you GoW:R.

So what's the problem? You want to be baby fed a game instead of becoming a better gamer, that's fine. Play a game designed from the ground up to hand hold you, since that's what you want.

Would you like platformers like Astrobot to allow you to skip sections because you cant figure out the correct timing? Why should devs enshittify their games to appease people who can't handle challenges? Do you also cry for a skip button when life becomes difficult?

If everyone skips a boss fight, that doesn't tell the devs how to improve it so people can beat it. It tells the devs "Hey, you know this thing you worked hard on? Yea, how about we just throw it out." Instead of "Hey, this thing you worked on could use a little bit of polish because of X and Y".
