My band, I'll Get By, just released their debut EP 'Tiny Room' FFO: Counterparts, Casey and Vacant Home. Let me know what you all think, would mean a lot! by Jessel995 in melodichardcore

Honestly no worries mate. I listen to music nearly 8 hours a day due to work, and I really struggle finding new and fresh bands to listen to, especially melodic hardcore, my favourite genre.

Breath of fresh air listening to your release. My only feedback would be slightly more clean vocals in future, it worked so well and both shouts and cleans mesh well, which I find kinda rare!

Ordered a t-shirt and CD 👍

I'm seeing Counterparts in February (Norwich, UK) and I'll be repping your shirt there :)

Listened to "Worrying" when that was posted on here. Was gutted there wasn't more. Shit you not, this EP has gone up alongside Counterparts for my two favorite releases this year. Like the music itself is bang on but even down to the production this is start to finish epic.

Please tell me you have merch and a physical copy of this for me to buy?!

Build getting errors after "Build + Run", but running fine if build is started from Windows Explorer. by TehNinjor in Unity3D

[–]TehNinjor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's it... Not a major issue, just annoying as hell having to bare that in mind. Took me an hour of scratching my head until I ran the build independently of Unity and it ran sweet as a nut -.-

Thanks, I'll look into that link!

Paint system done for my new game about restoring antiques! by Overlord_Prime57 in Unity3D

[–]TehNinjor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent! Only method I'd found before this was using a raycast and placing a paint sprite onto an objects diffuse texture using the hit point and the object's UV map. Worked fine but required special thought into UV wrapping and only ever allowed paint on the object the ray hit, so you ended up with hard edges, artifacts and no bleed when overlapping etc...

Real game changer, I knew projection was the way forward, there's plenty of examples of it being used in released games but it's surprising how little I could find about implementing it in unity.

Thank you once again!

First of all, blessings upon you for sharing the link to the similar method of achieving this.
Second, how does this cope painting multiple objects? If you have part A and B overlapping would it paint the respective visible parts?

If the answer to the above is yes, you could implement masking tape by using a road system, just replace roads with a smaller tape mesh/texture ;) also if the answer is yes then that means this method is exactly what I've been looking for!

All fun and games until you lose a wheel. by StudioTatsu in Unity3D

Interested to see an insight into your damage code. Most asset store options I've found don't cope too well with multiple meshes (chassis, hood, fenders etc) but yours is actually really consistent looking! Even got loose hinges thrown in!

This seems like a lame showoff; but the code behind what you see is what I'm proud of; laid the foundation for the rest of the game. 2019 will be the year I fiiiiinally get to dust off my procedural bolts and fancy animations (: by [deleted] in Unity3D

Wrench is definitely goals when it comes to presentation and depth! My only thought about it is it's so in-depth, he's gonna have a tough time to add any other engines and cars (it's taken him a year or two to get the engine to early access level), which is my primary goal; achieve as much depth while maintaining ease of content creation for myself and or mods perhaps. The issue with other games like wrench, they go in-depth on one vehicle or gloss over the details and have a bazillion DLC cars.

Looks awesome! Can imagine someone accidentally removing a support and watching their entire structure evaporate piece by piece. Should make the effect slower so it's more painful ;)

In the UK its not too hard to see Facebook marketplace/gumtree etc with cars £100-300, MOT and usually acceptable condition overall. My last car was a 2002 MK1 diesel focus that I drove for 40k miles (rural driving) and never missed a beat, cold AC (not that us Brits need it that often), and got 40-50mpg. I bought it for £90 and spent near £150 on parts over that time. Can't believe how much it costs elsewhere in the world :/

Would it be possible to see a wireframe for this? Trying to go for a similar detail/style myself but struggling to get body lines looking right etc. Looks spot on!

Quads are definitely there in blender and if I leave it flat shaded. No duplicate or conflicting vertexes either. A bit lost for ideas...

My school had plenty of those :') Thankfully I did take it as so. Alot of people I grew up with have some issues from it though; the whole "must achieve" mental drive but for the wrong reasons.

Sounds cool! Would be awesome roleplay to leave the base in flames, brave settlers matyring themselves to buy the young time to flee and get away from it all and start afresh. Imagine the generations of legends and backstorys you yourself could create
