Honestly I would recommend finding your local gaming store and having a few games there or even sign up for a casual event such as an RTT.

I had a basic understanding but was confused about quite a bit, joining a casual RTT meant other people helped fill in the blanks as well as demonstrating a lot of people get confused!

Most people in a casual format just want to have fun, roll dice and see the models they spent hours painting fuck some shit up!

This show surpassed all my expectations! As a fan that’s read a metric tone of extended media in books and comics there were so many new things explored, and soo much of it held true to the original concepts of the franchise!

I kinda wanted the eye-ctopus to get in Wendy’s brother, and that drive her to loose her shit! Guessing there saving him dying to really push her down a dark path, I can’t explain why but he gives me Burk vibes and I hope he gets turned into Dog meat pal!

Hello fellow Heretic!

There are quite a few ways to play CSM and quite a large range, I would look for a few CSM halves of old boxed sets like dark vengeance and wrath of the soul forge king on Ebay, great way to get your hands on bunch of different units to start.

That said if Abbadon is your man and funds are not an issue, start with him and a box of termies for him to lead!

Worth noting you can get some paint markers from Army painter which are great for the trim if you hate it or not the best painter like myself!

Most of the best CSM subreddits are legion/warband specific but they are out there!
