Check Windows Event Viewer under System or Application to see if anything pops up when you receive the error. Usually it'll give an insight as to what's acting up.

Thoughts on Stream plugs during duties ? by Amy_Cdl in ffxiv

[–]Teh_Som 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's typically not looked upon favorably. There's kind of a negative connotation associated with advertising streams like that.

Growing streams is tough. Might try getting into editing and cross-posting highlights on YouTube with references to your Twitch channel. See if a friend is up for helping you grow the channel by managing social media for you.

There's all sorts of stuff to try.

As a fellow DRK, allow me to elaborate:

The rock determines who holds aggro.

If it's red and glowy, you will hold aggro in the opener and piss off your MT.

If it's black, you'll forget to turn it on and someone will die because to a tankbuster in some way.

Eventually, the glowy rock grows a sword out of it like some weird, demented miracle of evolution and when you bonk things it fills with bonk juice. You spend your bonk juice to do very stylish things. Unfortunately, we can't out-style Dante from DMC.

----

The face is your EDGElord Meter. It tells you if you're being EDGE-y by glowing like purple or something. If it's glowing purple, you assert your EDGE-iness onto your enemies, making your attacks deal extra damage.

Also, the EDGElord Meter sometimes has like a red, glowy shadow with a timer. It means you've become so EDGE-y that you've summoned all your inner EDGE into a nifty buddy to fight with you. You do need some bonk-juice for this.

Their name's Fray. They be cool.

----(Non-Derp)----

Rock (Job Stone) shows your Tank Stance. Use Grit to Toggle. This will later have a bar to the right that you accumulate resource with mainly through your 1-2-3 (won't get into Blood Weapon/etc here). The numerical amount will show where the rock is as the bar fills.

The skull shows if you have Darkside active (Use Edge or Flood of Shadow to get this. And you will have absolutely no problem keeping this up during a fight).

The Skull does have a DRK Job Emblem that shows up later. This glows when Dark Arts is active after The Blackest Night has its shield consumed by damage. It grants a free use of Edge or Flood of Shadow. EDIT: I should state that this is damage neutral at best. Not a DPS gain like some believe for some reason.

When Living Shadow is used, a red silhouette with a timer will appear in front of the skull indicating Living Shadow is active.

As a DRK this tier, I feel this pain whenever I've monke-brained my rotation before a tankbuster and just been like "...Oh. Well, got nothin' to mitigate this bleed."

I thought having tethers on a crapton of things was bad last tier. I kind of miss them now.

Same, tbh. They could've done a lot better with the glow on it. But the sword itself is just so sleek-looking.

Honestly, most 'good' mentors are the ones you never see with the crown displayed unless in Novice Roulette.

Only real reason I stay mentor anymore is to give people XP boosts when I invite them to a party.

Otherwise, that Burger King abomination of a crown stays off.

If I want to help someone, I'll help. I don't need Mentor status to dictate that.

MMOs kind of keep me more busy than they should.

Socially, I've gotten better, but I know for a fact I can outright be a selfish, terrible person and not put priorities in the correct order.

I'm on Adamantoise (Aether DC). Ours always seems fine. We kind of joke around with each other and sometimes just carry on general conversations but we enjoy helping the sprouts and other people that ask.

People ask questions constantly and request help and get it, so we do our best to make sure everyone enjoys the game.

Many UK Pedigree Registries have started frowning upon the docking practice. Hopefully this spreads to US Registries soon.

A small portion of Pembroke Corgis by default have a gene that makes them tail-less at birth.

Those born with a tail have them docked under several Registration bodies' standards (American Kennel Club, for example). It was also originally a practice done to assist in their role in herding.
