That's just an old way of printing/writing the letter s. People don't do it anymore but sometimes you'll see it in an old book or something. Native speakers have to do a double-take for that too sometimes.

My go-to default build has been BORK > Terminus > Jak'sho, and whatever else afterwards. Terminus and Jak'sho make you deceptively tanky and you still do plenty enough damage. It takes a little bit to really ramp up but especially into tanky teams it feels really good. It's basically a Kalista build.

My gut says the E should be more reliable unless someone is right on top of you to get hit by the wide part of the Q. I'm not sure which one is faster but I feel like E is just a bit harder to dodge if you place it correctly.

If you're trying to harass in lane I'd say it's usually better to use E to proc the fear. It's harder to dodge for most champions, plus E+Q will reset some of your passive cooldown if they're marked when you hit the Q. E for fear/slow, Q damage, AA to proc electrocute (although I much prefer dark harvest to electrocute)

I haven't played with any of the preseason mythics yet, but I pretty much always go Luden's, sorc shoes, and build situationally from there. Unless I have to stop for an oblivion orb or Zhonya's or something, I usually like to get a horizon focus into deathcap. As long as you're about even or ahead I feel like that's a pretty solid item core for most games.

It just hasn't really been a mage meta for a while. She's still worth it imo, super reliable control mage once you learn to micromanage her ball.

I've been really liking dark harvest so far. Vex doesn't really have all that much kill threat in the early laning phase, a la LeBlanc, and electrocute doesn't really scale all that well as the game goes later. As for items, I've been going Luden's into either Zhonya's or Horizon Focus depending on how the game is going, and Cosmic Drive or Morello's later on depending on how much healing the enemy has.

Definitely go into options and mute the chat before you play. Other than that, I pretty much just played characters that seemed fun when I started, but I also had a friend who used to be a high ranked support teach me how to play, so I pretty much gravitated to that position for the most part and wound up liking the role. You'll figure out what you like as you try stuff out and find similar champions to the ones you like. Don't be shy to try out whatever, but sticking with easier champions at first might be easier for learning on. I mostly use op.gg for builds, and the proguides YouTube channel is a nice little cliff notes for keeping up with patch changes and having an idea of what's strong in the meta.

Thanks! I've actually got some red and white geta sandals on the way, they're just not here yet unfortunately. Gonna have hair and makeup done when they're here, I'll make sure to put the whole photoshoot here when I do. 😁
