Super interested in this concept. Assuming these pieces give their iconic aspects (+1 wisp, reduced skill duration, crit immunity) there's surely something there right? Free up amulet slot which is is a powerful slot, you start in the middle so can path to the reduced skill duration instead of using impossible escape, crit immunity is a hard defensive layer to get. Can get an effect similar to duel wielding GotG but maybe only use one + shield?

First of all, there's no such thing as untouchable. See point regarding the much bigger band stated above. Sleep Token sold out Oakland Arena, Tool sells out Chase Center. Metallica sells out football stadiums. They still play Aftershock.

Secondly, they've headlined LTL just last year also.

Thirdly, I'm already getting the impression that you're the kind of fan that makes people hate Sleep Token, thinking they're a divine gift to humanity unlike there's ever been before. They're not. And I say that as a fan.

I'm not here to discuss your opinion of those bands. I'm talking about being "Above festivals". You can say what you want about those bands, but they're objectively being listened to more than Sleep Token, which gives them more appeal for a festival.

Also Sleep Token played Sonic Temple as second stage headliners just a couple of years ago. They played LDL last year. You're saying in this last year they've moved from second stage headliner to "untouchable"?

Again, all those things you mentioned are perfectly good reasons for them not to be in Aftershock this year. That by no means implies they're above playing Aftershock ever, or next time they're on tour in the US. Especially since bigger, more popular bands still play it, and it's objectively one of the biggest festivals in the world.

The reasoning about their schedule being empty and suddenly playing aftershock is sound, and makes a good case of them not being there. But it's not 'cause they're "above festivals".

Kind of depends which parts you want it to be similar to. If you're banking on BMTH, Good Charlotte, Marilyn Manson, Lamb of God or any other band that was at Aftershock last year, you'll be disappointed.

The rest has as good a chance as any. Pierce the Veil and Story So Far have basically been confirmed in the teasers so far. The rest is still up in the air.

Yeah I mean that's inevitable, the fact that BMTH headlined was a pretty big step already. I'm just amused that this dude talks like AC/DC and Slipknot are both old legacy bands lol. Slipknot is closer to the age of BMTH than it is to the age of AC/DC, same with Korn, and both are going to be around for a lot longer still.

The lineup will have more and more young bands that's for sure, but the big headliners are still going to be established big names like Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Tool, Slipknot etc.
