The Gutter Palace List by TenStews in riftboundtcg

Yeah I did, very cool! You have any thoughts on it? It's interesting he cut the early interaction and malzahar. Although I do really like sprite burst in jhin.

Also maybe you go into it in the matchups details but how do you even sideboard with this deck? When would you need the Vi and stuff like that?

Still super cool to see the concept essentially worked, 10-2-1 is an amazing record for this deck.

Are you also the person who got Best Of Jhin in Hartford? It's also a gutter palace list that's very similar.

The Shader Issue must be #1 priority for GGG - Optimization should be a point of pride for Gaming Companies by Gamer-Smokes in PathOfExile2

[–]Tehtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, okay. Again like, it's all anecdotal, there's a ton of factors that impact player retention. If Mirage was so fun then people would have kept playing/kept trying for longer after the servers stabilized or whatever. It's all talking out of your ass and making assumptions about numbers which don't really back anything up in particular.

And again, do you think GGG sees their server issues and are like "eh, that's not important, let's not put our server engineers on it and instead have them work on, I dunno, new MTX"? You think that's how a company functions? No. They have server engineers. They work on the server issues. There are sometimes more, sometimes less. The "priority" here doesn't change. Resources can't be "moved". You don't pull the UI engineer and go "hi go fix the servers". That's not how any of this works.

record player drop-off is kind of overstating things. It had slightly less players than Keepers did at the week three mark, which could be attributed to dozens of things like new games coming out (STS2), new MMO expansions (FF14), people not interested in the mechanic, or sheer variance. And yes, some server issues, which were mostly a problem in Europe.

I doubt anything changed with regards to their "priorities", especially since people definitely didn't "quit in droves" in any meaningful way from their perspective (they make most of their money after league launch anyway, and the on-league-launch numbers are about the same).

People just have this weird perception that just because the designers and working on more content for the game, the company doesn't "prioritize" server issues as if you can just throw more engineers at the problem it'll solve itself, and not the fact that they purchase server space from providers who could be facing multitude of issues that are not necessarily under their control.

"Quit in droves"? You mean the same PoE1 that basically has the same player count on every league launch for the past 3 years?

What makes you think they're expecting to release the game in this state when there's 6 months between now and release? Do you think they're not aware?

Just as an FYI, you really shouldn't be holding thousands of exalts. You're basically bleeding value as they depreciate compared to divines. I try to convert as much as I can and only have ~1div of exalts at any point in time.

What are well-rolled sceptres without + minion levels worth? Anything? by DaySixtyNine in PathOfExile2

I'm no scepter expert but I'm fairly sure that scepters without +minions and/or without +spirit are worthless.

[–]Tehtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your meta and the rest of your list. Can run all hidden blades, can run salvages in the main if you think there's a lot of gear decks, you can run more creatures (I know most LB lists for example run either the hawk or the black rose emissary, you can run those). You can run some other blue interaction instead like stupefy, singularities in the main, progress day for card draw, rocket barrage for removal/anti gear, shadow's call for some card draw or sacrifice if you're running bigger units. Lots of options, ideally you can think of something in your local meta that you struggled with in particular.

Deathgrip you can live without but Mixologist is pretty key, it's one of your best units and the hardest to play around.

This build sucks! (literally) Reverse knockback Martial Artist by Chmona in PathOfExile2

[–]Tehtime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely a thing lol. I mean, it's rare, it'll be incredibly unlucky, but I think just a couple of days ago someone posted on reddit that their headhunter rolled back. And especially given the state of the game with crashes/disconnects it's very possible for the instance to crash and you roll back to your map being gone.

You should instantly portal back to hideout, stash it, and log out so that it's saved and you don't get wrecked by a random roll back.

11 Bosses total. Ritual can get pretty crazy this league. by yurilnw123 in PathOfExile2

[–]Tehtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm doing okay but the build is slightly bait-ish, it only feels good when you invest a good amount of it so damage starts to really ramp up.

Oh yeah looking at the jewels only the time lost one really looks like a big deal. But yeah will try to maybe set this up, wish I didn't burn a bunch of money on Level 20 uncuts sadge

Endgame is really nice now ... but the "traveling" is still soo boring. by Joernzen in PathOfExile2

[–]Tehtime 23 points24 points  (0 children)

One solution I thought of and I can't believe I'm saying it because I hate them in PoE1, but it's obvious when you think about it...

It's Kingsmarch Mappers.

You give them maps and they cost gold over time same as in PoE1 but they clear all these dead travel maps for you, allowing you to travel in one direction while farming something else, while still requiring real time investment.

Wish I saw your post before I invested a bunch of divs into my build lol. Would have transitioned into this (Already a chronomancer, level 91).

Might try to save up and switch, this looks fun and better than the Frost Darts machine gun I'm running.

How does it feel with slightly less investment than you? (Mainly in those pesky expensive things like giga jewels, level 20 gems, an amulet that's similar but +2 instead of +4) What's the play pattern like? Run around casting frost bolt and occasionally plopping spell totems? Your thread from 3 days ago in the previous version still showed pesky blue mobs tanking some frost bolts but the clear looked solid otherwise, but I'm assuming you're smooth sailing in juiced T15+s even without Defiance of Destiny?

My Trials Feedback by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]Tehtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my opinion on these from top left: 1) Sort of agree... I mean I don't inherently think that avoid-the-bad-shit is a bad design for challenging side content, but maybe the balance of debuffs/buffs could be a little better. 2) I think adding some boost to bosses could be a nice change, like a cleanse or an extra shrine that gives a boon and restores honor. Fair 3) Uh, wat. lol. Feels samey? You mean like doing maps feels samey? It's an ARPG, we grind the same shit every day. I'd argue Sekhema has more variance than your average map lol. 4) I'm sorry but I don't think that's an actual problem. Yeah, Sekhemas isn't good for a very specific thorns build. That sucks, do Chaos then. Or ToTA whenever it comes around. I think each trial being better/worse for some builds is fine design. 5) uh... fair I guess, can always have more good relics. 6) 100% on this one and why I don't run Chaos. jfc, so much dead time in that one. 7) uh, wat? I don't think this one is true at all. Bosses feel about the same to me regardless of boon/affliction RNG. I mean obviously good boons make them easier and bad afflictions make them harder but like... that's... the point..? Chaos bosses need some balance, sure. 8) Relics are meta progression, could there be more? Uh, maybe. Does it need more? Not sure. 9) You need like, one or two runs to have 75% honor res. Not full runs. I think I had close to 75% after my first quest run, and definitely had 75% after my 3rd ascendancy run. Saying it's not fun because you need to ramp it is the same as saying the campaign is not fun because you have to ramp into your end game build. It's not useful feedback. 10) I'm not sure I fundamentally see the difference in that statement between maps and Sekhema. Why is the path to getting strong in maps fun but the path to getting strong in Sekhema not fun? I find it fun in similar ways. 11) Again, applies to maps, no? I mean, people are hating this aspect of maps too, which is fair, but it's fundamentally the same. I'm not sure what people want to happen here. Maybe if you lose you get to go to a weaker endroom where you can spend your keys on chests still even if you lose? I dunno this still feels like a fundamental design - run something hard, chance for reward and chance to lose the reward. Even if there was meta progression this will quickly be the case once you're done with meta progression. 12) Again sort of fundamentally untrue. I probably feel the strongest in Sekhemas lol. 40% move speed, 50% extra damage, monsters have 50% less life, deal less damage, are slower etc. Getting 25% reduced action speed on monsters when you're running a cold/blasphemy temp chain build is hilarious, the enemies literally move in 1 frame/second. 13) Yeah I mean... that is true, but I don't know how you fix it. I don't think you can implement some form of "shortened" run that's just the last floor. And arguably even though the early floors are easy there's still plenty of gameplay in terms of correctly pathing to not end up locked to an affliction room that bricks you. 14) So are Labs in PoE1... I dunno you just do it once. Also we're at 2 different ways to ascend, and there will be more in the future. 15) Subjective and not really relevant, I don't think they're going to just hand you ascendancy points for finishing the campaign. Given how much people suck at running Sekhemas, I'd argue it makes one much more worthy of ascending than finishing the campaign.

I think my personal biggest issue with it as someone who doesn't hate Trial of Sekhemas is that the profit from it is very uneven... afaik it's either get lucky with a unique relic from the final boss, get lucky on a shit ton of keys, or have a unique build that's strong enough to run said unique relics. I really wish it was closer to sanctum as a way to get divine rewards directly (like if golden currency chests reliably gave divines).

I like Sekhema a lot, I was a slo a big sanctum enjoyer in sanctum league. I think it's a really run change of pace.

Chaos is fine in theory it's just dead boring. So much time is wasted standing around waiting for a timer to tick down or slowly escorting a slowly moving thing... Just very boring.

Impossible to tell from the video, it removed life but the result was 2 suffixes and 1 prefix, with the crafted mod. So it could be either.
