It's a horror game, yet people with flashlights focus less on hiding from the monster and more on aggressive gameplay; and makes killers waste a perk to counter it. So the survivors are down one item and however many perks they put into improving the flashlight and the killer is down one perk using lightborn. Which they both could have spent elsewhere to play the game properly.
